Summary: I purchased Ryse Son of Rome with high hopes. My first thoughts when I started playing the game is, "Wow! This game is gorgeous! The gameplay is so BA!" However, after a while i started getting bored of the same exact combat over and over again. You pretty much master the combat in the first Act, and it's really easy. I'll admit I struggle with some of the bosses, but I did have it on the highest difficulty.
Fantastic Combat, Perfect Length. Worth a Look for Cheap

Summary: This game is awesome. The fighting mechanics, while lacking depth, just make you feel like a bad mf'er, The length is perfect. About 6 hours. Any longer and this game would not have been as much fun as it is and the story would have lost its luster. If you can get this game for $15-20, it is absolutely worth picking up. I played this game in 1 sit through. I could not put it down. The graphics also, man, they really show off what next gen can be.

Summary: I beat the campaign mode of this game in a single afternoon. Seeing as this was supposed to be a big deal Xbox One next gen game that's pretty sad. It's basically a giant quicktime event simulator, which kind of stinks. There's also only a handful of copy-pasted enemies throughout the entire game. I guess it was a little fun to test out my new console, but for a $60 launch title this is definitely not worth it. Also, low and behold it is now on PC for way less money...
Summary: Game is through and through a GREAT hack and slash. Very good story to go along with it, and some of the best "next gen" graphics out there right now. Sure it's not 1080, but it looks AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and don't pass this up because you hear it's repetitive, etc. it's a fun and violent romp through the Roman empire and countryside. It's also at a very good price almost everywhere now.
Summary: Ryse: Son of Rome is as if elements of the films Gladiator and Immortals were blended together for one of the most gorgeous looking games for the current generation of consoles, and now even better on PC (in 4K Ultra). There are dozens of other reviews about this game, so i'll simplify it. The gameplay is cool, but lacks diversity; it becomes repetitive very quickly, but is saved by the production values of this blockbuster-esque giant.
Summary: This game has probably the best graphics I have ever seen, it is definitely worth the money. I love the fighting overall, its so fluid and just plain cool. I wish the story was a bit longer but its still an awesome game.
