Seeds of Destruction

GameCritics.com
25 May 2014
  • Conclusion: Oh, so Disco Zombie is back? I was kind of hoping that it's been long enough that... no, I get it.
  • Pros: Planting my sunflower and wiping out three enemies in a single beam of light.
  • Cons: Trying to stop any boss in the single-player mode.

Anything But Garden Variety

GIN
31 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, you know that zombies are the "it" thing right now. From The Walking Dead in graphic novels and on television to the ever-popular Left for Dead series, all things undead are in vogue. Even Minecraft's enemies are primarily of the zombie variety. Regardless of what form they manifest themselves in, there seems to be no end to our imagination in how to dispose of these denizens from the grave.

411mania.com
28 March 2014
  • Excerpt: The phenomenally successful Plants Vs. Zombies is a game I avoided until a girl I was dating withheld sex from me until I played it. It was pretty good. The game wasn’t bad either. Plants Vs. Zombies has a weird charm to it. With each advancing horde of the undead, you’d frantically try to upgrade the right plants, and stem the onslaught anyway you can.

18 March 2014
  • Conclusion: It is seems a shame the game didn’t launch before Christmas – on this evidence, with its kid-friendly content and rock-solid gameplay, it had the potential to have cleaned up, and help Microsoft move a bunch of additional Ones off the shelves in the process. Unfortunately, with Titanfall imminent, the concern must be that the game will in short order lose a hefty chunk of its user base and, for all their charms, these plants and zombies will see their moment in the sun...

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare

High-Def Digest
1 March 2014
  • Summary: PopCap and EA surprised everyone when they revealed 'Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare' last year. The goofy characters and bubbly atmosphere from the mobile tower-defense titles are an interesting blueprint for making three-dimensional, third-person shooting commandoes, though you wouldn't think to fear at the welcoming smile of an incoming sunflower. A console exclusive for Microsoft, 'Plants Vs.
