Lego Marvel Super Heroes

Talking About Games
27 November 2013
  • Excerpt: Lego licensed games are pretty good, but Lego Marvel Super Heroes takes it to a new level. Even after 30 hours this game still has plenty of fun left, and collecting a super hero for the many you already have is still very gratifying. The puzzles are challenging even for adults, and the gameplay is [...

  • Excerpt: With a catalog of over 10,000 characters, the Marvel Universe (MU) is as big as the villain Galactus who devours entire planets in his free time. Accordingly, Traveler's Tales's Lego Marvel Super Heroes reflects the size of this universe it draws from by including over 200 of the most well-known characters from popular franchises such as the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, and others.

  • Conclusion: It’s the best and biggest LEGO game contextually, but it’s objectively the most poorly-designed. Deeply flawed, but still the most fun I’ve had with LEGO games.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

Destructoid

  • Summary: Star Wars , Indiana Jones , Batman (later the entirety of DC), Pirates of the Caribbean , Harry Potter , and The Lord of the Rings -- arguably a majority of the world's largest entertainment properties -- have all been brought to life in videogames after being passed through the adorable LEGO filter by Traveller's Tales. And, well, they've handled each franchise masterfully and created some truly great games with each of them over the years. What could possibly be next?

Fun, kid-friendly action game tied to major cultural icons.

  • Summary: Parents need to know LEGO Marvel Super Heroes runs in the same vein as other Lego games , delivering lots of cartoonish combat mixed with some clever little contextual puzzles. The fighting is between plastic brick figures that simply break apart when hit or shot -- no blood or gore or shrieks of pain -- and the game is designed so players can't ever really lose.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

SplashGames
20 December 2013
  • Conclusion: Echte Neuerungen sucht man in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes vergebens.
  • Pros: Über 130 spielbare Charaktere, Splitscreen-Modus, Offene Spielwelt, Viele Nebenaufgaben, Tolle Sprachausgabe
  • Cons: Kaum Neuerungen, Leichter Schwierigkeitsgrad
