WWE Raw 2: Ruthless Agression Review
11 March 2010
Conclusion: Stone Cold Steve Austin says it the best, but now it is my turn to give the bottom line on this game. If you are a fan of the WWE then you should not even have to read this review to know that you will instantly fall in love with this game. I am not what I would consider a wrestling fanatic and I had a blast with Raw 2. The easy controls and deep season/CAW modes revived my love of wrestling videogames.
Excerpt: 's bursting at the seams with match types, options, and features. Normal matches are present as always, but there are eight more match types available, ranging from the hardcore matches (anything goes, including weapons) to the Hell In A Cell (steel cage with a roof, which you can knock opponents off of). Fourteen setups are also available, from a standard one-on-one match to a six-man battle royal.
Excerpt: Just as you can be sure that Summer will turn to Autumn, you can equally be sure that between September and November, THQ will release their biggest moneymakers to a hungry audience of grappling fans all over the world. To be frank (and I’m Ken), the original Raw for the Xbox was nothing short of pathetic, with no career mode to speak of and graphics that left a lot to be desired.
Excerpt: Now a series of its own along with the likes of Smackdown! and Legends of Wrestling, WWE RAW is finally set for its first sequel from THQ. It is more of the same... Of course it is, but wrestling is as wrestling does, and to fans of the sport, the virtual game is almost as good as the real thing. An Xbox exclusive developed by Anchor, Raw 2 fills an obvious void for virtual Xbox wrestlers missing a taste of the PS2-only Smackdown series.
