Too guided and way too slow

Summary: Sorry to those who love this game, I simply couldn't get into it. You get a longwinded intro and no apparent way to skip it, like I need to watch the character in the plane and supposedly humorous banter, to know how he got there. Every now and then there is a long amount of telling the story, I just want to play the game. It is not disimilar to "The Great Escape", no not the film but the old ZX Spectrum game.
Excerpt: Prisoner of War was bought pre-owned for £12.97 and promised to be a very interesting game - you take on the persona of a prisoner within a Second World War prisoner of war camp in Germany tasked with escaping. The basics of the game involve being introduced to life in the camp - what you should be doing and where you have to be at certain times during the day. You have to be at morning and evening roll call or the guards will come looking for you!
Pros: good graphics - easy to pick up controls - original storyline
Excerpt: *** INTRODUCTION *** I purchased this game because I love games which make me think about what I am doin. I also like games where it actually emerses you in to them, making you feel like you are there... every action you take could affect the games outcome etc etc.. *** BACKGROUND *** "It's the Second World War, you are Captain Lewis Stone, an American Flight Officer and reconnaissance operative.
Pros: Challenging, Interesting & DIFFERENT !
Cons: Graphics could be improved, something missing . . .
Excerpt: When I heard previews for this game it sounded great but actually playing it is a different story. In the preview it said every object int he game can sink or float. In the real game I just didn't care I like the concept of the game trying to escape Nazi camps, by sneaking around people but its very frustrating because I never know where I am supposed to go. The game does a bad job in showing you which building is which.
Excerpt: prisoner of war is an adventure game available on the x box. the object of the game is to escape from a world war 2 prisoner of war camp. it’s not as easy as it sounds though. you play an american pilot who has been captured and placed in the camp. you get friendly with a few people who then give you tasks to complete in order to escape. these can be anything like getting some papers from the lieutenants desk or breaking into a room to speak to someone.
Pros: good gameplay, interesting storyline
Cons: not good for people who enjoy shooting things or racing round !
Summary: ...the gameplay really suffers after you've been through the first couple of camps. There are very little new gameplay elements introduced in each new camp other than learning the new maps and guard positions. It took about 10 hours to complete all the camps and see the end which isn't great value for money in my book.
-- um was geht's ? -- Sie sind ein Captain Lewis Stone (U.S.-Pilot) im 2. Weltkrieg und ihr Flieger wird von deutschen abgeschossen. Sie werden gefangen genommen und kommen in ein Lager.
