Not As Good As I Thought

Summary: Set during World War 2, Prisoner of War drops you into the role of an Allied fighter pilot. Shot down over Germany, you are captured and placed into a P.O.W. camp. Using only your wits and a little bit of stealth, you must escape from the camp. Easily the biggest problem with the game is the lack of interaction with the game's enviroment. Out of necessity you can explore the camp, yet everything you find is mere window dressing.
Good if you like to use your Brain, rather than a trigger.

Summary: POW is a different kind of game! This is not fast paced, there is no killing, and the point is to be stealth, fast, efficient, and to escape. Now I did just straight up buy this game, most of the time I rent games first, but I had read so much about this game and downloaded as many clips as I could find, and I had a $25 gift certificate to blow.
Summary: You do nothing. You are just a prisoner. the germans have sniper rifles and other german guns. you have nothing. i am not saying you have to use knives, crowbars, hands, etc., etc. You can not fight. All you do is take some plans, avoid the big guys with the guns, and talk to some guys in a REALLY bad camera angle. So it is pointless. I am giving it back after one damn day. i was so excited when i saw this game.
Summary: Sorry to those who love this game, I simply couldn't get into it. You get a longwinded intro and no apparent way to skip it, like I need to watch the character in the plane and supposedly humorous banter, to know how he got there. Every now and then there is a long amount of telling the story, I just want to play the game. It is not disimilar to "The Great Escape", no not the film but the old ZX Spectrum game.
Excerpt: "...while investigating suspicious activity around prisoner of war camps, you must resume your mission from the inside and destroy the enemy's devastating new super-weapon despite imprisonment in Stalag Luft. The outcome of the war rests in your hands! Stealth and cunning are your only weapons as you escape captivity in an adventure that takes you into the heart of Colditz Castle itself." (www.xbox.com) *** MY OPINION *** This game is challenging. ...
Pros: Challenging, Interesting & DIFFERENT !
Cons: Graphics could be improved, something missing . . .
Summary: ...the gameplay really suffers after you've been through the first couple of camps. There are very little new gameplay elements introduced in each new camp other than learning the new maps and guard positions. It took about 10 hours to complete all the camps and see the end which isn't great value for money in my book.
-- um was geht's ?
