Hold On!

MisterDerp1975, amazon.co.uk
25 March 2004
  • Summary: Please, please, please only buy this guy if you have an insatiable appetite for boredom. I was happy when this game arrived at more door. A dedicated club player I assumed that this game would enliven and enrich my snooker knowledge while offering the chance to play a few frames at home when I could not get down to the club. At first I was excited. I realised compared to other cue sports sims this game offers everything you could ever wish for.

Good, Very Good

M Hillman "mikehillman2", amazon.co.uk
9 August 2003
  • Summary: This game has taken Snooker and Pool games to another level. The AI is good, the ball physics is good the players even look like the people they are meant to be. The AI makes this game very challenging even at the easiest difficulty setting. The commentry has also been improved (and those of you who don't like it will be glad to hear that you can turn it off). The Pool element is also good, with both 8 and 9 ball versions. Now to the only slight problems.

The Best Snooker Game Ever Just Got Better

JL "jmcl22", amazon.co.uk
9 July 2003
  • Summary: I played last years version of this snooker game and i thought it was the best snooker game well the best game just got better. This game has everything the last game had and more in this game u have the 25 plus professional players, the intuitive control system, the fun games and the trick shots. But they have also introduced eight ball and nine ball pool which makes this game even better and along with the new camera angels it looks and plays like the real thing.

What the magazine reviews DON'T tell you!

C. McFetridge "chrismcfet", amazon.co.uk
7 July 2003
  • Summary: Championship Snooker - ripped apart by XBOXWORLD for poor graphics, uninteresting gameplay, "only slightly better than leaving your XBOX turned off", likend to "Antiques Roadshow and Songs of Praise with a bit of Bullseye: The Game thrown in" and given a 5/10 review. Yet on it's release it cleared the shelves (and they say snooker is the sport of dull men!). My advice when you consider purchasing this album is... "do!".

Good, could be better though

Snooker Fan, amazon.co.uk
1 July 2003
  • Summary: If you like snooker then you will love this game. The ball physics and general realism of the game is very good. I think the coaching facility on it is excellent and a great introduction on how to play certain shots. I think they have definately got the balance of making it not too hard so you can make good breaks but you you have to work for them.

Best snooker & pool sim

MisterDerp1975, amazon.co.uk
1 July 2003
  • Summary: Yes, its finally here, and about time too. The first snooker sim on XBOX and it is a real gem of game. It features 70 players (25 of which are real pros such as Ronnie O'Sullivan, Ken Doherty, Mark Williams and Fergal O'Brien). It has varying levels of difficulty, but has an ingenious aiming aid to assist you which can be changed according to the level that you achieve. If you are like me and like an easy life then leave it on beginner!

Yet another average snooker game, depending on your taste...

Graham, amazon.co.uk
29 June 2003
  • Summary: P>Snooker should be all about gameplay, and this is why I only gave it 3 stars. The graphics are lovely, maybe even a bit too sharp if you know what I mean? Looks-wise it is fine, which is what you should expect. However, what plagues this game is what plagued all of the other previous titles in this series, and that is the gameplay itself. You either love the sequential clickety-click control method of the "WCS" series, or you don't.
