Whiplash Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: While I felt the platformer genre was slowly depreciating from modern gaming, it seems many companies have stepped up to the bat to really put out some solid titles. With Voodoo Vince and now Whiplash on the Xbox, gamers will have a break from action and first-person shooter titles, while still having a fun enjoyable experience. Is Whiplash a revolutionary game?

Whiplash

Game Over Online
6 January 2006
  • Excerpt: There are plenty of people who’ve said that the basic platformer is dead. Once one of the most popular game formats, the number of these games has significantly slowed to a steady trickle as more and more people veered towards shooters, real-time strategy titles and RPGs. Similarly, the mascot title has also slowly died out (furry animal mascots in particular), leaving players with distinctly human heroes to conquer gaming universes.

Game Over Online
4 December 2003
  • Excerpt: Whiplash is the story of Spanx and Redmond, a rabbit and weasel that’ve been chained together in the bowels of the Genron Corporation, a multinational conglomerate that makes products in everyone’s home. While Genron goes out of its way to put forth a friendly face to the outside world, its actual business practices are far from altruistic, with a massive animal “testing” facility locked behind its walls.

Whiplash

  • Conclusion: „Whiplash“ bringt wie bereits „I-Ninja“ frischen Wind in die Jum’n’Run Welt.
