Summary: I recently bought this game on Amazon because I remembered playing it a few years ago and loving it. That was probably the worst way to waste 1 dollar. The game is fun for about 10 minutes... after that, it's already repetetive. And if you're looking for an alternative to the Grand Theft Auto series (as I was), then keep looking. Kill civilians as you may, and no cops will ever come after you. You also lose points for every civilian killed.
Summary: It's a fun game for the most part. Being a games journalist I come across a lot of video games on a daily basis. So playing a game like this was a bit refreshing -- insofar that it managed to spark and retain the interest of the gamer. All too often most developers get lazy with keeping the pace and entertainment values high, but that certainly didn't happen with this game. Graphically True Crime looks terrible. Easily it's not the best looking Xbox game.
Summary: The idea for this game is a good one. You can go around and flash your badge at people (or criminals), pat them down, and arrest them--whether you're solving a crime, doing a mission, or just roaming. It's strangely satisfying and has great potential. While the story line is pretty dull, the cut scenes are pretty well done and realistic enough. The graphics aren't stunning, but aren't horrible either.

Summary: I just got this game today and I think it's super fun indeed. I'm the kind of guy that's into crime so I stop crime whenever I see it in the game. Even a policeman might even enjoy this game if they played it for 5 minutes or so.
game sucks get something that has had more time spent making it

Summary: I don't like the game at all the driving sucks really bad why don't thay take some tips from a game like flatout or something cuz the driving really sucks bad and theirs ghosts in the game thats so stuped I thought a grand theft auto kind of game but then theirs ghosts poping up thats dumb im glad I paid $4 for it only or I would be mad I say don't buy it get a game thats been make better the graphics suck to the only thing I like is the kung fu fighting and cuffing...
Conclusion: Umm ok I traded my friend for this game and the reasons was it said it had fighting driving and shooting all in it right? But to have all of those things they must not be that good so the fighting kinda sucks the shooting is pretty good and the driving is fair. The shooting has cool bullet time scences..until you find out you still get shot while doing the matrix...
Summary: Since GTA3's massive success, many games developers have tried to emulate it by relesing very similar games, often relying on controversy to sell it. True Crime was different in that you actually play a cop, but the same free roaming city was on offer, and you can also frequently break the law. Like all the copycat GTA games though, Activision completely missed the point with this, and it turns out to be a pretty average game.
Conclusion: THIS GAME IS HORRIBLE. IT IS A COPY OFF OF GTA BUT WORSE TIMES 1000. the graphics are scetchy. the audio is pretty good i guess. the controls are kinda funky and the auto aim is ****. there is barely any different weapons you can use. the game is just a bad copy of GTA. did i mention the graphics suck? its extremly buggy . alot of the time if you push someone they will go threw the wall, not breaking it or anything just go straight threw it.
Summary: I played it and it was alright. Its not really as good as gta.My brother loves it though he thinks its like 10 times better then gta.But if you rather play as a cop then a mafia member then get this. This is great for people who like playing as a cop but not who play as a mafia member if u wanna play as a mafia member get gta or of course mafia but if you wanna play as a cop get this although you can play as a dirty cop.
