Summary: I rarely give 5 stars, but this one is close. For the original xbox, this is one of the funnest games I've played. Almost as good as the GTA franchise. If you played the first one, You notice it was kinda fun. The improvements on this one make it far superior to the last installment. originality- 7/10 (loses points for being made after gta, high score for being a cop and being improved upon) graphics- 8/10 sound- 8/10 replay- 5/10 (not a whole lot to do once you beat it,...

Summary: True Crime: New York City Score: 8/10 True Crime: New York City is the second entry from Activision into the world of cops and robbers. A sequel to the 2003 True Crime: L.A... It's a gritty surreal world created in the likeness of New York City. In TC: NY you play Marcus, a young man from the streets who starts his life as a thug, but tries to turn it around by becoming a police officer in the NYPD. And that's were you come in.
Summary: True Crime: NYC is a great game, with tons of stuff to do and many elements that breathe life into the city. The storyline is actually only a minor fraction of the game, the real fun comes from driving around the city, doing the street crimes and discovering all the different stores around the city. There are car shops, music stores, dojos, and gun shops spread around the city that offer different cars, songs, fighting styles, weapons and other clothing.
Summary: Many people knock this game series because it is like GTA. I, on the other hand, like it for this exact reason. It has been some time since the last GTA was released and this is a nice alternative.
Summary: So many of the game reviews are picky. One of the biggest complaints about this game has been that it is the same old thing. Just like Grand Theft Auto. WHen was being like one of what is considered one of the best games ever been a bad thing? That said, if you don't like violence or profanity, avoid this game at all costs. It has both in spades. The game is very similar to the whole GTA vibe.
Summary: True Crime: New York City is an action game for the Xbox and was released in 2005 and is the sequel to True Crime: Streets of LA. You play as ex gangster turned police officer Marcus Reed, after your mentor Terry Higgins is killed in an explosion and you have to try to hunt down his killer you can do it either as a good cop or by a bad cop using and abusing your authority.
Summary: First of all it's a wicked game! Don't know why most people are so negative about it. The shoot outs are very thrilling and fast. the ability to frisk the public is excellent. and enter almost every shop in the street and extort the owner is very fun.The graphics is pretty realistic. The only downside is the driving although there is some sleek looking sports cars the driving is just nonsense.
Summary: After the shocking dissapointment that was TC streets of LA i was pleased to learn that luxoflux had taken a more serious approach to TCNY. All credit to them, they did a great job. A fully breathing city which responds and changes to your actions, good storyline and gameplay, however some of the random bugs are just annoying. For a start, if your a fan of the genre, then dont go expecting a polish on par with perhaps the GTA series.
