Summary: I am a heavy gamer and a tennis player, so every time a tennis game is made i feel i have to try it. To be honest apart from Smash Court i have found them all very arcade-game like and no realism to the physics and feel to the game. Top Spin was a pleasant surprise. The graphics are not amazing but to be honest they dont need to be, how fluffy can a yellow ball be?? You start your career as a nobody, no skills, rubbish clothes etc.
Summary: A fantastically enjoyable game. Will definitely be the prescription to a tennis bug. Very satisfying. Just not perfect yet. A 5 star game has to be one that you play everytime. You don't need any other games if you have a 5 star game.
Excerpt: "Top Spin is an excellent tennis game. The core gameplay is solid, although there is some dubious calls around the boundaries and the players sometimes seem to run off in the wrong direction from time to time. Essentially it is the usual sort of thing: an array of shot types, a variety of game types: tournament or exhibition, doubles and singles (although no mixed matches). However, there are two major additions: Xbox Live and Career Mode. I'll only ...
Pros: Long - lasting Career Mode, Create Your Own Player
Excerpt: "I purchased top spin partly because of it's good magazine reviews, but also because it is the first ever online tennis game. Add to that the fact that it is on the most powerful console out there it had to be a smash! Offline the game a wonderful. Online the game is awesome. Offline the game is easy. Online the game is very hard! I am going to talk mainly about the online part of the game in my review as I feel this is where the heart of ...
Pros: The Best Tennis game ever on a console and Its LIVE ! ! !
Cons: Minor touching up of how how the LIVE system works . XSN is poor for topspin .
Summary: I bought this game a few weeks ago and have been completly hooked on it. The graphics and game play are brilliant to any other sports game i have played on the xBox, apart from Tiger Woods. The mulitplayer and career modes are amazing and xBox live isjust another story. The game really comes to life when you start playing on xBox live because you can compete with friends or people over the other side of the world. I would definatly recommend it to anyone.
How am i controling Aggasi??? (the graphics are great)
25 July 2004
Summary: The first thing my mum said when she walked in the room was i didnt think wimbledon was on this time of year that controllers moving agassi so really i could say that her verdict is that the graphics are as close to life as can be. my only fault is the computer can sometimes be so easy but for some players this can be a good thing. my advice is to buy with LInks 2004 the best golf game around Tiger woods PGA tour 2004 is not a patch on it.
Summary: A realy fun game to play multiplayer, but playing on your own can get a little boring. Graphics are what you would expect - Fantastic! Its like watching a real game of tennis but better, because you are in control. Easy to get the hang of, creating a player isnt as good as I hoped. Its no Tiger woods 2004 character creater which it fantatic, its alot more basic with not much to choose from to let your imagination run wild.
Summary: Since getting my xbox ive read reviews of this game and as a tennis enthusiast had been looking forward to seeing if it lived up to the hype. Im not disappointed - fantastic game, the most realistic sports game ive seen on any platform. Controls are intuitive for the beginner but as you develop your skills you adapt to the various styles of play adopted by the AI. Ive now had about 2 months and am still enjoying it. Only problem is load times (so slow...
