Summary: it was a good game. i haven't completed it yet though. i liked defend the most because if u died you could just turn into another person until all solders. and unlike the other ghost recons you have a bigger team. the team is 6 people and you can pick you team.
Summary: Allthough the age on this game definitly goes past all new-gen games, it is still a great replay. I remember playing this days after days and beating the same missions because of the replay value it had. If you are coming back from playing new-gen games, it may not be as fun for you as you are probably used to state of the art graphics. But if you come from a generation where you have been playing old games in your childhood, you will still love this game!
Excerpt: "...no longer than 2 days. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Island Thunder was one of the first X-Box games I bought - expecting a dazzling first person shooter combined with a bit of military tactics - a subject I always find facinating. How wrong I was! - The basic plot is that you control 2 recon teams dropped into post Castro Cuba to search and destroy training camps - drug factories - barracks etc. Each team comprises of 4 people and orders can be given ...
Pros: Good sound effects - price
Cons: poor quality graphics - poor gameplay - shocking tactics - too easy to complete
Excerpt: "Ghost recon island thunder is the sequel to ghost recon, how ever its more like a add on pack you would get on the p.c the game is short and doesnt havent to much different from the last game, GAME INFO: player 1 or 2 system link 1 to 16 online enabled 16+ The game only has 8 missions based in CUBA, these basically all have the same pattern you are given a misson to complete, if a team member dies (in some not all) mission over, or if you ...
Summary: This game is a tactical squad based shooter and is very difficult although I have completed it. The single player has eight missions and is very good, incredibly tense and gritty and very realistic two shots and you're dead, but you control a team of six so you can just change and control one of them; a great feature I've never seen used before. The only bad thing about the single player is the saving facility badly designed.
Excerpt: "Ghost Recon : Island Thunder is another amazing game from Ubi Soft. -------------------- Game Info-------------------------------- *16+ *Ubi Soft *1-16 system link *Players 1-2 *Online Enabled ------------------------------------------------------------------ Ghost Recon is set in Cuba which involves 8 challenging missions from protecting civilians to capturing resistance leaders. Before you have even arrived at the menu screen, there is ...
Pros: Xbox Live gameplay is amazing
Cons: Xbox Live - game does 'lag' if too many people are in a game
Summary: While this is pushed as a multiplayer or on-line game it does still have a single player set of missions. As a lone player with no live link or any gaming pals (they're all too growm up) I can only play the single player missions. However, the game is so highly rated I thought it must be OK.
Summary: I'm a major fan of the original Ghost recon, and in fact a very devoted Tom Clancy fan, owning every Rainbow 6 game and the unique Splinter cell. The main appeal of this game, to me, was the multiplayer. I don't have XBOX live, so this review wont cover that, it will however, cover the System Link and Single Player. Firstly. Graphics: They've have a tune up, not by much. Everything's still very... uninspired, but it feels realistic for some reason.
