Summary: Toca Race driver is a glorified carerer sim with a lot to offer over basically every racer on the planet. Starting out as Ryan McKane you must work your way up on 3 levels. The ToCA Tour, German DTM, Australian V8 Supercars are all represented along with a few none real championships. Toca Race Driver has a massive lifespan which will make you come back for more.
Summary: Beautiful and involving graphics with fantastic crash damage. Smart AI means that other drivers make mistakes and hit each other without your intervention. They also seem to remember when you have played dirty and seek their revenge. Race series from around the world bring an interesting variety of tracks and cars. A great game which is a pleasure to dip into for the odd 15 minutes or to play into the night.
Summary: The racing in this game is as great, as we have come to expect from Codemasters. The excitement of battling for position in the middle of 19 other competitors makes this game thouroughly enjoyable. The damage system is very good, with your car getting dents, and even pieces falling off. If you crash into the walls and other cars too otfen you may find yourself unable to finish the race.
Summary: Toca race driver has all the great handling, and attention to detail you expect from a codemasters racing title. Racing bumper to bumper with a track full of other cars is exhilarating and enjoyable. The cars look great, and the new damage system is impressive. The one downside is the story, it really doesn't add much to the game and I didn't relate to the game's main character. I found him annoying and even started actually disliking him.
Summary: Codemasters have done it again and this game is simply brilliant!!! You start off as a young rookie living in the shaddow of his ex-racer (died in a crash) dad and his big brother who is also big in the racing world and your out to prove them wrong. This game features everything you'd want in a game like this except a full season, but I'll come back to this later; * Upto 20 cars on the same track (that's more than the ps2 version!) for real pack racing.
Summary: The games drive engine and garage (where you set up your car) are terrific and the plot fully imerses you in the game. You ask yourself Questions like "would going to germany help my carear" "can staying in britain with renault be the best option" and "I wish they had offered me a contract" which is obviously a good thing by anybodys standard.
Summary: I only bought the game a couple of days ago, but so far I love it. Having done track days at Oulton Park and Silverstone, I would say the driving experience is pretty realistic and when you get it wrong the crash damage is very entertaining (especially trying to get back to the pits on 3 wheel rims). If you like bullying your way around/through the opposition, and use other cars to assist braking into the corners, then you will love the AI.
Summary: I was extremely sceptical about this game after seeing the shortcomings of the PS2 version, fortunately, my fears where unfounded. The extra six months or so development for the Xbox version have certainly paid off. This game has been developed putting the Xbox hardware to good use, the graphics are clear and detailed, with good use of texturing and effects and more importantly there is NO pop up at any time!
