Summary: I got the pc version of this game for my birthday, after downloading the demo. The graphics are stunning and the best I've ever seen in a pc racing game. Rallisport Challenge comes close, but I think this is better. While the depth of this game is tremendous, they don't give you much to start with. I think you have 3 tracks and 5 cars to begin. The controls for this game are horrible! I've adjusted my steering wheel controls many times, and it just sucks.
Summary: This game is advertised as having dozens of different types of cars and many, many tracks to play on. What they don't tell you is that you only get a couple cars and tracks... you have to play through a very long and tedious single player campaign to "unlock" all the cars and tracks. And, trust me, it will take a lot of time. So if you think you can just buy the game, and only play it occasionally, and use whatever car or track you want, you're wrong.
Summary: Toca Race Driver 2 is a great game. It features so many different racing types and is a real blast to play, especially on Live! Don't listen to the moron who's moaning down below, how many other games have you played that are completely unlocked out of the box? You start off racing the Ford GT and can pick cool cars such as the Mustang, souped up Ferrari's, Mercs and NASCAR style racers. This game is graphically stunning and handles great too.
Summary: This has got to be the worst single player racing game ever created. The game claims all sorts of racing types but the box did not mention that you can't select what type of racing you want to race insted you have to progress through every type of racing before you can select what you want and unlike pro race driver you can not tweak your cars before each race! and you can't adjust the difficulty so as you progress the races are impossible to win!
Summary: Most of the time, this game is great. Fantastic graphics and handling and loads of cars on the track at once. It's also got an interesting story, which I like. What I don't like is the occational time when you're forced to race something which is so awful you're convinced you'll never progress beyond it. The fact that you eventually do doesn't excuse the fact that the car may handle terribly and slide off the track for no apparent reason.
Summary: Yet another game wich is destined to thrown out of the window. Why? well the graphics are pretty good it's just the handling of some of the cars is dire in particular the rally cars. Try going over a jump at anything other than walking pace and the car seems to take on the handling of a hovercraft. Throttle control with the rally cars is also a problem with it either being on or off and no gradual increase.
Summary: This game is so easy to get into. It has a story line of you and two other people trying to get money and trying to get you into the shark racing. It gets harder as you go through the game making sure you get glued to it. Lots of different cars and once you have won a championship in a spacific car you can race them in free race. when you get close to the end of the game you end up with a whole list of cars you can race. The best thing about this game is the graphics.
