Great presentation, plenty of options... lacks challenge

Summary: There's no doubt that EA Sports know how to present a game and give you plenty of options and gameplay. The number of game modes provided here is excellent, with basic games, PGA Tour, Legend Tour and scenarios. There's also plenty of options for customising your character: the gameface provides so many ways to alter your character's face you can be there for hours perfecting it, and there are thousands of items to buy in the pro-shop.
Summary: I was very, very good at 2004 - and I'm therefore very, very good at 2005. New courses, players etc though are worth the money, as is the addition of the possibility to move the ball in one's stance to hit high or low shots. Beautiful looking and intuitive to play, this has enough depth for anyone - it will take ages to complete every facet of the game.
