Summary: Some good points and some very good points but alongw ith that I would say from my experince of this game, it appears too mush like a cartoon throughout most of it and players today seem to prefer graphic and realisitic appearances both of the plyer and the game.
Pros: It's very good to be able to customise your golfer to yourself - this looks good especially when the golfer gets annoyed with a shot - just what we would do out on the pitch I'm sure ;) However the images do tend to be like cartoon characters.
Cons: Comparing it with other golfing games - it dosen't come any where near their graphics or viewing your own shots and building your own reputation is abit naff on th is game. I like to see the power levels when hitting off but nothing is avalible to view with this game - so most of the putt's and hitt's are pure guess work -
Summary: This is a great game... I was really disappointed that the controller setup could not be changed. The game is customised and works best with the smaller Xbox controller and the button layout is perfect for it. Unfortunately, I have 2 Big XBox controllers and it is almost impossible to put spin on the ball because the buttons are out of reach, It is also very cumbersome to do a power shot with the button layout on the big controllers...
Summary: I'm new to the Tiger Woods series of games and I haven't played a golf game on a console or PC for a number of years. Tiger Woods 2004 definitely looks the business and the options and presentation are very good indeed. The GameFace option which allows you to create the look of your golfer is very good, and although its hard to create a perfect likeness, its better than any I've seen in a video game.
Summary: The game itself is superb. Excellent graphics and extremely playable with some new quirks to keep even diehard fans amused for a while, however, it is simply too easy. Come on EA, give us a game that is a challenge and takes longer than 2 days to complete!!
Summary: Having played the PGA series for many years on a variety of different consoles, Tiger Woods 2003 is definetly the best golf sim available on any console, so when Tiger Woods 2004 was released I assumed it would be just as good with a few improvements. In Tiger Woods 2003 it is only possible to buy perfomance enhancing stats, in this latest installment you can now spend your hard earned cash on lots of bling bling!!
