It seems good, and then...
28 August 2005
Summary: Well I'll be frank right from the word go. I don't like this game and hardly play it. I bought Links 2004 afterwards and it is everything I hoped TW would be. So what's wrong with it and why do the other reviewers like it so much? Well, I can see their points. The heartbreaker feature which pumps the handset with your racing heartbeat is a nice touch, the graphics are good, the courses nice and the cut scenes well done. The commentary is fun too. So what's the problem?
Summary: I must admit I haven't played Links 2004 or TW PGA Tour 2004 yet, and bought this because it was cheap. I'm not too worried about online play with sports games though and to tell you the truth I used to find golf really rather boring. However, I'm happy to say this was the best purchase I've made on the X-Box - it's the best and most realistic sports game I've ever played on a console and I'm now completely hooked.
Summary: I've only been playing this for a month-or-so now, but I can tell that it will keep me going for a long while more. The controls are simple enough to grasp, but give you enough control to either really ace a hole or die with frustration as you miss that eagle putt by 1/2 and inch. The graphics are stunning, with a broad selection of real courses to help you maintain that pretence that "I'm Tiger Woods".
Excerpt: I love the game. Fantastic game play coupled with amazing graphics. Very realistic apart from the ability to change the ball's spin at the last minute. The courses are all designed exactly like the real ones. So many different types or games and ways to play golf. You'll never get bored. Its a must for every golf lover or even just a sports fanatic. Its a long game which will keep you gripped for at least a few months.
Pros: Fantastic Realistic way of playing computer golf
Summary: Tiger woods 2003 is probably the only game I have seen on the xbox which would make me buy an xbox. the graphics are amazing the game play is intuitive. the game is so good I have even taken up real golf since playing it. for some reason though I cant find a spin button or power boost on my real clubs. Maybe thats why I always get 20- 30 over par. If you have an Xbox then get this game, even non golfers will be impressed.
Summary: This game is the most addictive and best game i have played in a long time. I am not a golf fan but Tiger Woods is the best game for anyone no matter if you have never swung a club in your life.
Summary: Don't get me wrong. I love this game. It's fun to play and with any kind of wind it's even hard to compete. The only thing I don't like about the game is the advise you get from your caddy when you are putting. Most of the time it makes no sense to me. If I use the advise as stated I would never sink a putt. The instructions do not clearly explain how to read the screen for putts. If I could figure this out I would drop my score by several strokes.
Excerpt: the xbox console caused a big uproar when it was first released last year. I thought to myself that it was a brilliant console and a definate must have computer gaming device. I was wrong i jumped the gun. At the time the x box was out so was the playstation 2 now with the x box being made by microsoft i assumed that it was the best console that could be purchased. Ok it has the facility to record cds onto the console and you can use x box live on the net.
Excerpt: THE PRODUCT Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 is one of my favorite games for the XBOX system. It is made by EA sports who are the number one sports game selling franchise. They have other games such as Madden football and NHL hockey. They are a company you expect a very addictive game to come from, like all there sports games you have played you know from first hand expierence that they are very addictive.
Summary: Tiger Woods PGA tour 2003 is by far the greatest golf game I have ever played on and the new analouge swing device is exelent when you first start playing on the game, however once you get the hand of the swing you just simply can't get your swing wrong. The game then becomes very easy and the only thing you have to do on every shot is judge where the wind is going to carry the ball. Aim your shot and it will go exactly where intended!
