Fun game

  • Summary: I got into the Hitman series and really liked it. This is a lot different, but still has the same patience-needed play style. It can be alittle quirky--I've gotten stuck in walls a couple times, and if you get caught into straight up combat you can die very quickly--so save often. But if you want to feel like a sneaky thief in a D&D like city setting, you'll have a lot of fun playing this.

One of the better of it's type.

  • Summary: This game is pretty good for what it is, an old medival-stealth XBox game. It has some neat things and ideas, but not very good graphics. It's worth paying $10 or so, but little more.

Thief: D.S. is a very good stealth-action game.

  • Summary: Thief: D.S. is an excellent game, with terrific graphics & sound, & great story. The stealth elements could have been improved upon a little, but it is still great. Game has great atmosphere, & camera can be switched to 1st or 3rd person, at the push of a button. If you like stealth games (Splinter cell, or Metal Gear), then you should also like Thief: deadly shadows.

Thief: Deadly Shadows Reader Review - 7.3

AD Oblivion, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: We all remeber Thief. Creeping from shadow to shadow, pick pocketing and then along came Thief 2 improving what it had started we all knew there would be another one. Years passed consoles came and went doubt came to the world of stealth as MGS took the throne as king. The next gen was anounced so was Thief: Deadly shadows. You ask me now why should we care the world has moved on . You should care because this one of the most fun games in the world of the X.

  • Summary: I played this game on xbox when it first came out and to be honest i wasnt impressed with it at all,the problem being that i was playing games like tomb raider, final fantasy etc that gave me a false perception of what kind of games were the best type of games i should be playing,i'd like to admit that my taste in games have changed and thief deadly shadows is a well crafted title that deserves at least 1 go(even if it is a last gen title)its by no means perfect with a...

  • Summary: In Thief:deadly shadows you play a thief called garret who has a mechanical eye and a voice like snake plissken. It is your task to unravel a conspiracy in a nameless city whilst stealing everything you can see to buy more thief tools. most of the time you're in a medieval city but you wander off onto ships full of zombies, the odd manor and underground ruins.

  • Excerpt: Are you the kind of guy (or gal) who loves sneaking around in the dark? Or maybe you like to find "easier" ways of making money, like say a quick pickpocket? Maybe you just like being the mysterious fella who likes to keep his options open? If you match the description of any of the above, then Thief: Deadly Shadows is for you. -------Gameplay------- You take on the role of Gareth, and you are given missions ranging from stealing items, to sabotaging people.

Very good, some of the problem solving is not always intuitive.

  • Excerpt: Having not played any of the previous titles in the series, I mainly stumbled on to this title by accident. Browsing the shops of my local PC Game Store I was looking for something different - you know how it is... in one of those slightly exasperated, bored with everything kinda moods. I didn't want a shoot'em up or a driving game or an RPG or sport simulator, but at the same time... I did.
