Thief: Deadly Shadows Reader Review - 7.3

AD Oblivion, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: We all remeber Thief. Creeping from shadow to shadow, pick pocketing and then along came Thief 2 improving what it had started we all knew there would be another one. Years passed consoles came and went doubt came to the world of stealth as MGS took the throne as king. The next gen was anounced so was Thief: Deadly shadows. You ask me now why should we care the world has moved on . You should care because this one of the most fun games in the world of the X.

  • Conclusion: Thief 3 has been in development a long time.. Simply put, was it worth the wait? One word YES! this game is great from the graphic to the audio it strikes gold! You can save anywhere in the game and the AI are amazing, it feels like your playing an RPG instead of a stealth title! The graphics in this game are excellent up the charts with the best of them racking this game in the top 5 xbox games. Well at least the top 8...

Thief: Deadly Shadows Reader Review - 9.5

  • Conclusion: Most computer gamers are familiar with the Thief series of games, but those who just play console are probably not. It wasn't well advertised for Xbox, considering it is probably in the top 5 for overall quality and gameplay. The game controls of Thief are basically pulled right out of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, which gives you advanced control abilities by using both toggle switches for moving and turning.

Thief: Deadly Shadows Reader Review - 8.6

Valerenn, IGN Entertainment
2 June 2004
  • Conclusion: Thief is basically Splintercell done in a Midevil type setting. The story is strong, and there are many references to Theif 1 & 2. One of the most enjoyable aspects of Thief is the ability to roam the streets of the city and pickpocket pedestrians. You also have the freedom to break into some houses and steal stuff. Very Cool. The game does suffer from long load times as you go through sections of the city, which is irritating.

The Third Thief

  • Summary: I enjoyed the thief games back in the old days. The whole "sneaking around in the shadows" - brilliant! This game works on the xbox 360 - and i personally think the game looks great even today. The world the game is set in is dark and gritty - the atmosphere of the game itself brilliant. There is a city you can explore (more of it opens up as you gradually complete the main storyline) and it's brilliant.

thief deadly shadows(xbox)

Duncan Brooks "bellypork", amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: I played this game on xbox when it first came out and to be honest i wasnt impressed with it at all,the problem being that i was playing games like tomb raider, final fantasy etc that gave me a false perception of what kind of games were the best type of games i should be playing,i'd like to admit that my taste in games have changed and thief deadly shadows is a well crafted title that deserves at least 1 go(even if it is a last gen title)its by no means perfect with a...

  • Summary: In Thief:deadly shadows you play a thief called garret who has a mechanical eye and a voice like snake plissken. It is your task to unravel a conspiracy in a nameless city whilst stealing everything you can see to buy more thief tools. most of the time you're in a medieval city but you wander off onto ships full of zombies, the odd manor and underground ruins.
