  • Excerpt: This game is my most recent purchase for the xbox and the game that I have been playing over the past couple of weeks in fact to such an extent is it so addictive that most of my other games have been having a welcome break. Being a big fan of both the film and the book was one of the reasons that I wanted to get hold of this game and added to the that was the fact that in my opinion Electronic Ats is one of the top games developers around.
  • Pros: True to the film
  • Cons: None

A very good game.

  • Summary: The Godfather is a hugely playable game, I have played it through 6 or 7 times and still find new things to do. The game sticks very closely to the plot of the film and must be given credit for that. The opening scene has you playing as a member of the Corleone family, this is the basic training for the game such as movement and unarmed combat, after completeing this you see a short cutscene and your character is killed.

  • Summary: This game well took me by surprise, it is free roaming which alot of people including myself didnt get from looking at the cover. Like a 1940's gta, with a sick story line keeping you involved, you can extort, commit bank heists, and assasinations and that is outside of the main missions! There are 5 cities and similar rival gangs to take over and wipe out, which keeps you going for a while.

Flawed resurrection of a classic story

  • Summary: EA's biggest problem as producers is that their games tend to be repetitive, glossy and shallow. There is a lot of superficiality surrounding the games they release, and it often turns out that the games should've been so much deeper and longer lived than they really are. The Godfather is certainly a flawed masterpiece of a game, suffering from, ironically, not particularly the regular trip ups of EA.

Do you have what it takes to be the next Don?

  • Summary: First things first, this isnt EA's attempt at making another GTA clone even though im sure alot of magazines have hinted that this is what they were aiming for. The game puts you in the shoes of a new kid in the crime scene and youve been invited into the part of the Corleone family as,well to begin with a little muscle to add to their numbers so your basically given small jobs to show what your made of,the first few ones are your basic training missions where you get...
