About
20 March 2015
  • Summary: If you're in need of a decent RPG on the Xbox, Morrowind is just the thing to cure your role-playing itch. The world is massive and there are a ton of things to do. There is a lot of information to absorb before you can really enjoy it, however, so if you aren't very patient or don't like the more...
  • Pros: Huge world to explore, You can interact with pretty much everything, Tons of side quests to keep you busy
  • Cons: It might be a little too big ..., The graphics are kind of ugly, Loads of glitches

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Review

IGN Entertainment
9 February 2008
  • Conclusion: Future developers can look at Morrowind and see exactly what went right and what went awry. Hopefully the creators of the next wave of RPG’s have a clipboard out and are checking off what to borrow and what to improve on and what to add (cough, Peter Molyneux, cough).

  • Excerpt: When film critic (and I use that description loosely) Leonard Maltin covered the Friday the 13th film sequels in one of his movie review guides, all he could muster in the way of criticism was "more of the same".

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Into Liquid Sky
20 April 2004
  • Excerpt: Morrowind begins as with the player on a slave ship. For some reason, you've been set free by the Imperial authority and dropped off on the shores of the Vvanderfell District of Morrowind, a diverse land populated with many races, including the Imperial colonists and the Dummer, or dark elves.
  • Pros: Huge, impressive environments, Extremely open-ended gameplay, Lots to do outside of the main quest
  • Cons: Framerate issues when outside, Graphics engine seems unpolished for Xbox version, Combat is clunky

The Next Level
26 August 2002
  • Excerpt: At the same time, Japanese-themed RPGs were music to my ears. Adol, Ys , Phantasy Star , Chrono Trigger , anime, big eyes, orchestrated music, adolescent lead male characters with a chip on their shoulder and cutesy female counterparts to die for.
