Summary: A "Myst" type game in theme, you travel to many exotic locations and unravel a mystery worth spending hours to solve. The game has some great scenic graphics and is fun for any who enjoy puzzles one can sink their teeth into. This is a great XBOX title and I strongly endorse it.
Summary: This type of gaming experience can be quite addictive, and the unique plot of the first game brought me back for another go, but in the end I felt somewhat bad for the Kate Walker, the main character. The first game had a personal subplot going on for her, which was kind of glossed over in this installment. The gameplay was okay, but for the most part the gorgeous environment is non-interactive, which can be a little disappointing at times.
Summary: This game did not disappoint. The graphics were amazing, and the storyline picked up where the first had left off so you got to follow along as Hans continues on to Syberia. This game was more enjoyable the first. The only downside - when the game is over, it happens very abruptly. One minute you're playing, the next reading credits. This was highly disappointing, but until that point everything was just as I had hoped.
Summary: In starting to play this game, I was immediately struck by two things: the incredibly detailed graphics and the beautifully haunting music. Those two elements do a lot to set the stage and tone for what turns out to be an exciting -- though at times frustratingly slow-paced -- journey. My husband and I played it together, and found that we each contributed ideas that led to the solution of the various puzzles.
Summary: I really loved the first Syberia. It was amazingly beautiful and stylized- so different than anything else I'd seen. I really got into the storyline and the characters to the point that at its completion, I exclaimed to no one in particular- "I've found Hans Vorelberg!" with satisfaction. Well- Syberia 2 is more of the same. Still beautiful to look at. Still great character development and storyline.
Summary: I do not enjoy video games very much, mainly because I do not like the violence and the anxiety of being constantly stalked, shot at, or run over. This game is a great alternative. The scenery is beautiful, and I actually enjoy the slow pace of the game. I find many of the puzzles challenging, and the story is interesting and involved. The feel is very much that of a mystery novel turned into a video game.
Summary: You can immediately tell that there was a lot of dedication and effort put into this adventure game; the graphics are outstanding, animation is realistic, the dialogue, both verbal and subtitled was translated in several languages including Spanish, German, French and Italian (and Blue Cheese!

Summary: Once I picked up this game, I couldn't put it down! The storyline is beautiful, with all of the central characters (the Voralberg family) initially shouded in mystery. By the end of the game, I almost felt as if I personally knew Hans Voralberg . The puzzles, though simple, are seemlessly integrated and completely locigal within the context of the game's universe. All of the characters are lovable. Even the people you know you shouldn't like, you do.
