  1. Xbox Evolved

Like Star Wars? Like blowing stuff up? Like shooting stuff up? If you answered yes to all of these, you definitely need to give Republic Commando a shot. Rent this title before you buy to see if you would really like it, but seriously it is an extremely solid title. Besides the lackluster multiplayer, the sound, visuals, mechanics, and gameplay are all very solid and exceed well over expectations in some cases. Read more

    • Nice intense campaign
    • Multiplayer lacks, not enough to do in the title

is an excellently finished game, with great graphics and exemplary sound. Unfortunately despite the truly fantastic interface, the ease-of-use and strong A.I things haven't been worked out or are challenging enough to make the total experience perfect. A true suggestion for people who love tactical shooters and the Star Wars universe but definitely not a classic in the genre. Don't let that stop you from enjoying the ten hours of action though! • Fantastic atmosphere, Excellent interface and very user friendly, A.I. of squad members, It's Star Wars!
    • No co-op (!) and disappointing multiplayer, Too linear and repetitive, Not deep enough

In recent years, it seems that LucasArts has tried their hardest to augment the release of the movies with games that either bring the player into the world of the movies or tell another part of the story. Such is the case with Republic Commando . As a part of the clone soldier program, Jango Fett initiated a Commando program, where the clones were given advanced, team-based training for special missions. Read more

    • Nice strategic elements, Excellent audio, Great looking graphics and level design, Online and multiplayer modes
    • Short story mode, AI is not always consistent

Saying you had played a good Star Wars game used to be something that you'd never hear. This has changed drastically in the last couple years with games like Knights of the Old Republic being released. Well you can add another game to the great SW game pile. Republic Commando has arrived. Read more

Taking the formula found in previous Spider-Man games into an entirely different direction, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is probably the most intriguing game in the web slinger’s series of games so far. A lot of the latest games involving him have featured a very prominent sandbox formula and plenty of side quests, but developer Beenox has decided to try something new. It doesn’t work all of the time, but when it does, it’s great stuff. Read more

    • Noir Spider-Man levels are amazing; solid controls and fighting mechanics; some really fun boss battles; plenty of ways to upgrade the different Spider-Man
    • Problematic camera; 2099 Spider-Man levels are underwhelming at best, convoluted at worst; first person fights are lame; voice clips tend to repeat way too often

I was rather disapointed when I went online and expected to be able to play co-op, though the other game styles were, and still are, fun. Read more

    • Some of the best squad-based gameplay that I've ever seen. Provides an interesting change in the point of view for Star Wars.
    • It took me a little longer than usual to get a hold of the controls with this game; about 5-10 minutes.
  3. It's Star Wars Jim, but not as we know it.

Gameplay Wow. What a game. They really hit the mark with this game. The gameplay in this game is simply stunning. The amount of thought that must’ve gone into creating this gritty and darkly humorous Star Wars game must be incredible. In a nutshell, you play as the leader of a Clone Commando Pod (squad) called Boss (voiced by Temuera Morrison himself) and are unleashed onto the bad-soon-to-be-good guys. Read more

    • Wanderful perspective. Non-stop action. Good story. Great characters.
    • It ends on a cliffhanger. Linear levels.

Not a bad FPS, good graphics and the team command system is simple and works well.I liked the idea of being able to save downed comrades by running over to them and using the healing gizmo. Although this game is worth a go it is not a patch on Halo-Halo 2. Read more
