Star Wars: Obi-Wan on xbox, a good old hack-n-slash game.

jblack000, Ciao
16 March 2010
  • Excerpt: In this game you play as Obi Wan Kenobi, a pivotal figure in the Star Wars saga (as if you did not already know) and the game is set when you are learning just what it means means to be a Jedi. The game is set around the era of Episode One yet is a separate story from that shown in the film. Initially you are sent on a mission, which seems straightforward enough however this forms the beginning of a quest.
  • Pros: it is a star wars title, good fun in parts .
  • Cons: only one camera view and a bit short .

Great fun

  • Summary: I am a big Star wars fan and although this isn't up to the level of the KOTOR games or star wars books, it still provided me with hours of fun. When i first got the original xbox way back when that first came out this and halo were my two favourite games on the xbox platform although neither games are in my top 5 games of all time (on all platforms) this game is still a game i like to play every now and then. If you can spare a few hours get this game.

It's essentially Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace 1.5

  • Summary: Okay I have to admit that, upon reading reviews in magazines such as Gamesmaster, that Obi Wan was only average that my expectations weren't high. However I decided to buy it after remembering about what I felt the Phantom Menace was like on Playstation and also that you get to just play my favourite character Obi Wan (title sums it up lol) and what it would look like with an Xbox graphical makeover. What can I say the end result is.

  • Excerpt: This is an awesome game that bring you right into the Star Wars universe. It allows you as a star wars fan to do what you alwyas wanted to do. You get to wing a lightsaber around and jump using the force and do all the cool Star warsy flips and stuff. It has great game play that is great and still easy to use. You get to run around as Obi Wan Kenobi and dissover the events preceding Star Wars Episode 1.
  • Pros: Great and Easy To Play
  • Cons: none that I can think of

Go and buy this game

  • Summary: In my point of view a very good game. Well worth going out and buying. It doesn't come much better than plunging a lightsaber through Darth Maul's body. The graphics are superbly good in Star Wars obi wan, and almost nothing to complain about, apart from the fact that if your asking a scared villager if he can give you some grenades it takes him a while to realise your there.

A long time ago... games looked this way

Stephen Citynskyj "Stephen Citynskyj", amazon.co.uk
23 August 2004
  • Summary: The premise for this game is plausible and full of potential, but the result is drab and unremittingly dull, containing nothing worthy of the Xbox. The box strapline says "The fate of a Jedi. The destiny of a galaxy". Unfortunately, in light of this dismal effort, all that seems to be at risk is the fate of Star Wars games. • Excerpt: This is one of my favourite games because it was one of the first games that I played when I first got an Xbox and secondly, I'm a big Star Wars fan. With lots of great sound effects, and music from the film, the game requires you to guide young Obi-Wan through various levels and uncover a plot devised by the mysterious Black Heth. Armed with only a light sabre, you must defeat enemies and protect innocents where possible along the way.

Disappointing

S. Alexander "simonmaal", amazon.co.uk
5 September 2003
  • Summary: Having completed Jedi Outcast, I was delighted to find another game offering first person lightsaber action and the chance to play as a Jedi. With almost trembling hands, I excitedly put the game on, settled down ready to indulge myself and.... well, I felt that sinking episode 1 feeling all over again. As with the film, I was left feeling disappointed by this game's total lack of depth.
