Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II Review
11 March 2010
Conclusion: When it all comes down to it, if you loved the original game then you’re going to love KotOR II. If the slower pace of the RPG genre didn’t tickle your fancy the first go around (not mentioning any names, Shock), then you aren’t going to enjoy this one either. There are times when the story of KotOR II seems head and shoulders above that of the first game, and other times it just chugs along like a bad novel.
Excerpt: Set some years after the first KotOR , The Sith Lords places players into the role of the Exile, a jedi who was kicked out of the order for following Revan and Malak to war with the Mandalorians years before. Along with being kicked out the order, the Exile has lost his/her connection with the Force, or so it seems. Players will find themselves amnesiac (how convenient) on what seems like a deserted mining colony.
Pros: Continuation of the excellent RPG story, Great voiceacting, Influence system is a nice addition, Darker story
Cons: Lots of glitches, Long load times, Last planet feels tacked on
Excerpt: Five years after the events in the original Knights of the Old Republic, the Sith Lords have come back and are systematically exterminating the Jedi. The Mandolorian War campaign is over, the Jedi Civil war has rocked the galaxy and the Republic is rebuilding much of what has been destroyed.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

Conclusion: So did you enjoy Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic? Well if your answer to that question was a positive one, then you can rest assured the same feeling will come out of KOTOR 2. I must say most of the minor adjustments that took place in the game were positive ones, all of which further enhanced the experience. Probably more then anything the storyline this year is more interesting and more engaging then last years which ends up making for a better experience.
