Summary: Alright, I've got to admit it. I was swayed by the rampant hyping of all things Star Wars that's going on right now. Very swayed. The commercials show the few highlights of a game that, while having a few stellar moments, is in the end, wholly unsatisfying. With Star Wars Battlefront, it seems that the developers were looking to create a "WOW! This is SO COOL! I'm playing the movies!!!" feel for this game. It didn't work.
Summary: In Battlefront, we're told we can play as rebels or empire . . . which is true . . . sort of. There are a few games modes to chose from, and if you pick the 'Galactic Conquest' version, you do indeed pick a side (and a time period . . . Clone Wars or Civil War) and go from planet to planet, either liberating or capturing (depending on your side.
Summary: Disappointing effort. So little gameplay that I personally stopped playing it after a week of owning it. On-line is good, but lags pretty bad once more than 7 or 8 join the sever. Horrible default 3rd person perpective, but you can change to 1st, but it doesnt 'feel' that good - plus the guns look like they're made of lego in that view. Xbox is is desperate need of some real decent games at the moment.
Summary: If the purpose of this purchase is to play over Live, then i recommend against it. the lag issues and lack of statistics posting feature render this game unplayable and pointless. Players jump all around the map because of the lag and make firefights ridiculously haphazard. The sniper rifle is and impossible weapon to use because of this.
