Star Wars Battlefront II is better than the original in almost every way, which says a lot for LucasArts’ and Pandemic’s commitment to their legion of fans. Space battle and playable Jedi are reason enough to run out and buy Star Wars Battlefront II , but 32 player online matches don’t hurt either. Read more

Blur has been advertised as the “kart racer for adults” and has often been compared to Mario Kart since it was first shown off at E3 2009. Although this game has a kart racing vibe going for it, it definitely is a lot more than that. What you actually have here is an arcade racing title that plays a lot like Ridge Racer , Burnout , or Bizarre Creations’ other…creation, Project Gotham Racing , but with power ups added in just for good measure. • Large variety of modes; solid controls and mechanics; power ups are fun and none feel unnecessary; amazingly fun and surprisingly deep multiplayer
    • Single player is pretty poor due to inconsistent difficulty, lack of variety, and completely brutal rubber band A.I.

I know what some might be saying, “Joel you gave Battlefront II the same exact score as the original Battlefront”. And what I would say to you is you’re right, I did. And I did this because I truly believe that the developers did a nice job of upgrading the game in many areas. But on the same token, I don’t think they upgraded everything enough to take it to the next level. Should Battlefront fans go run out and buy this game? Read more

The first Star Wars Battlefront followed a successful formula for LucasArts; of mimicking a popular videogame and adding Star Wars characters, storylines, locations and production values. Star Wars Galaxies was your standard MMORPG, but with the added, and not to be underestimated attraction that you could play as a Jedi, Bounty Hunter or Wookie. Read more

On November 1st of 2005, the house of Lucas passed down a double dose of Star Wars goodness. Episode III made its DVD debut and Battlefront II , the sequel to the “best-selling” Star Wars game of all time, Battlefront, was released across a variety of systems. Now since the original game had become a fantasy squad commander’s dream come true, would the sequel be able to deliver the same kind of unbridled joy as the original? Read more

Star Wars Battlefront 2, being a sequel, fixes many issues from the first game and brings in quite a few new features such as the Hero units and new maps to try and inject more life into the series. Even with these though, one can't shake the feeling of Deja-vu that you get playing through most of the game. Read more

This is an excellent game and it is a darn shame that there is no next gen version (SWBFIII) coming out. Pandemic has closed and Lucasarts I guess is sitting on the license. I just recently played it two player with system link on two 360s and it worked great. Too bad Xbox Live play will be revoked sometime in April 2010. Not sure if you can still get the updates and expansion pack at that time...but buy it while you still have a chance! Read more

The first battlefront game was a solid title, bringing a taste of simulating the experience of being in one of the films, but lacked depth and ambition with repetitive gameplay and small maps. The sequel brings a number of new features and maps mostly based around the last star wars film, but felt more like an addon rather than a sequel as the number of bots is still low as are the number of online players, in fact the single player expereince is poor due to the ai and... I love Battlefront 2! If you are a die hard Star Wars fan like I am then you need this in your collection. All of the non-stop action it is like you are there your self! Play as a Jedi and kill everyone around you. A wonderful new Galactic Conquest. Actually recruit new divisions of soldiers as you conquer each planet. buy awards by defeating planets like extra renforcements, Jedi, etc. Read more

Great 1st/3rd person shooter/flight game. It's Battlefield 2 only Star Wars and not WW II. Have fun geeking out on most of the important battles in the Star Wars universe. It's a blast to play on XBOX Live. Be light or dark side of the force. Fly an X-Wing! Drive an ATAT! Be Darth Vader cutting down Princess Leia! Shoot Ewoks! Doesn't get more statisfying than that.
