Excerpt: SSX tricky is the sequel to SSX, in my opinion, the SSX series, has the best snowboarding games avaliable on the market. The game features a number of characters which you control, each character has stat points, and each character is better at a certain aspect of snowboarding, you have to decide which character is the best. Slightly varied from the first game, however you still see many of the old characters, favourites such as "Psymon Stark" and Elise Riggs" return.
Pros: Superb fun, great game !
Cons: Can become stressful and annoying if playing for a long period of time !
Excerpt: your basic storyline is to compete and win as many races as you can against a number of tricky competitors. you can play on a number of courses which all have different features in which you can show off your skills, eg trees used as jumps. you can choose and customize your board the firther you get into the game by putting different designs on it and using things like grip tape.
Excerpt: For those of you who smirked at the title of this review can only mean one thing. You have played this game to death and like me you are going to keep playing it to death. For a game that came out a fair while back it amazes me how people still love it! People love it simply because it is SO playable. The controls are a little confusing when you first start out, but once you've nailed it you'll be a tricky fan forever.
Pros: Great gameplay, graphics and animation . Well produced game .
Cons: extreamly addictive and can take up much of your time
Excerpt: SSX Tricky is an excellent must-have for all snow-boarding fans. There are eight characters to choose from all with different skills and eight tracks to complete. Choose your format as in the original SSX game whether in Single Event or World Circuit mode. In World Circuit you have to do three laps of the course and must qualify in minimum third place in the semi-final round to go through to the final.
Pros: Great graphics and moves !
Cons: Controller can be a bit difficult to handle sometimes
Excerpt: When i first got this game it had already been out a while. I Had been meaning to buy it but never got the chance. When you boot it up its really pleasing the music is great the graphics are amazying and the learning curve is great. I play this with people who play it all the time and also Newbies and it always goes down well. its alos really cheap at the moment and worth the £20 its retailing for.
Pros: Pulling off Mad tricks and racing against a friend
Cons: No online mode and completing the trick book can be a real pain
Summary: This game is awesome, the graphics, the gameplay, the tricks, the characters. This game will have you glued to your screens. There are celebrity voices such as Macy Gray, David Arquette and even Lucy Lui! One of the best characteristics of this game is the insane uber-tricks where the characters do back-flips and everything on their boards in mid-air! You can also develop an enemy out there in the snow by pushing them over or by 'accedentally' bumping into them.
Summary: This is more arcade game than simulation. It is accessible and doesn't start off too hard - although it quickly gets quite tough to progress. The characters are fun and the tricks almost convince you that you could be good at snowboarding in real life! The only slight niggle is that there are too many menu options to go through to get to the action and when you finish a game there is no option to re-start, you have to go through the darned options again.

Summary: Seriously fun game. My wife chose this as the bundle game when she bought the Xbox for my birthday, and it has probably been played more than our other five titles put together. Why? Because my four year old son Thomas is seriously hooked on it and we get to play together a lot as well. Easy enough for beginners, and so many ways to develop in the game (new characters, slopes, tricks, boards, custumes, etc) that there is always another thing worth playing for.
Summary: Having never played the original SSX game - I have little knowledge of how EA have improved the game. I do know that the new features on this game are: Surround sound, New Levels, New Players, and new Game Play elements. Presentation/Visuals The animation for this game is amazing - with full on facial features and extra detail to outfits and boards, the boarders appear fresh.
