Spider-Man: The Movie Game Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Anyone who says they don’t think Spider-Man is one of the greatest comic heroes of all-time is in severe denial, and anyone who says they wouldn’t do just about anything to be able to pull off some of the high-flying acrobatics Spider-Man is capable of is a liar. The game is quite involving and the difficulty level is just right, keeping you interested in pushing forward without becoming too frustrated.

Game Over Online
13 October 2005
  • Excerpt: Ultimate Spider-Man does a lot of things properly. As a fan of the character from back in the day, I enjoyed the writing most of all. Brian Michael Bendis, the writer of the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book, was brought in to script all the dialogue and help guide the overarching story of the game. Spider-Man's quips have never sounded better. The story, while deadly serious during some segments, never stops being fun.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time Review

23 April 2006
  • Conclusion: At its core, Spider-man: Edge of Time is a standard platformer merged with the frantic nature of a fervent button-masher. In case your eyebrows raised ever so slightly, rest assured that this gaming Frankenstein actually works, but it does fall prey to excessive repetition and a near criminal overuse of game assets. If you're a rabid Spidey fan and a huge platform gamer, it will leave you caught in its web.
  • Pros: Solid voice acting and dialogue, Interesting storyline, Combo-licious
  • Cons: Repetitive environments and gameplay, Under 7 hours long (very short)

Test: Ultimate Spider-Man

20 February 2008
