Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix Reader Review - 4.6

44_caliber, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: People these days rely on great graphics, which this game does not have. To Soldier of Fortune II's defence it is a great game if you just want to pick up the Xbox and just run around and shoot people and blow things up.

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix Reader Review - 3.0

Doomofman, IGN Entertainment
23 December 2005
  • Conclusion: Well... where to start? Perhaps I'll start with the fact that this game sucks... Its awful the AI is complete muck, the graphics look like something you would get on a N64 and the gameplay is sluggish and repetitive!

Fun with a very big arsenal of Guns.

M. Moxon, Amazon
14 March 2004
  • Summary: The game looks and feels fantastic, but it could be better. The weapons of choice are cutting edge and for those who enjoy a little more realism when shooting foes, there is a realistic outcome to spraying the enemy with bullets.

Excellent 1st person shooter

Amazon
14 March 2004
  • Summary: I have played this game on the PC and so far this is an exact copy. I mean this in a good way - some of the conversions to consoles are poor, but this is excellent. The game play is classic 1st person shooter, lots of (visual - hence the 18 certificate) blood and guts, and the AI of the enemies is...

Good FPS, excellent replay value

Amazon
14 March 2004
  • Summary: The best thing (and unique) about this FPS is the random mission generator for both single and multiplayer. This changes the layout, obstacles and enemy locations providing a new experience every time.

Worth a look, but nothing spectacular

Mr. J. Higgins, Amazon
14 March 2004
  • Summary: First of all, this game IS a lot of fun. Blasting people away with the devastating arsenal of weapons is good. The's lots of gore. You can see their guts come out and brains splatter. But there are lots of bad things.

Disappointing but still enjoyable

Makem, Amazon
14 March 2004
  • Summary: First of all this game seems to have quite a few annoying bugs. It's not unusual for characters to talk over each other during the inserts between levels. The game has completely "hung" on me once, needing a reboot of the console and from time-to-time the game slows down dramatically; not what you'd...
