Summary: In this game you take part of a man who has lost his family over the course of 10 yrs. Sid Meier's Pirates is a great, challenging game with a great storyline. The game lets you choose your destination and you make the decisions. You have the option of taking part as English, French, Dutch or Spanish. The graphics during gameplay are quite decent for a pirates game. As with all people, we get older. During the game, as years pass you grow older and weaker.
Conclusion: Just one word to define this game... AWESOME! Do you remember "Monkey Island" from Lucas Arts? I Do. And this game is so funy, so interesting. I began playing it yesterday. I was around 11 P.M. I think. Then, I remeber to see what time was it, and it was 3 AM! This is PIRATES! The game looks simple, but it's very interesting. The main character is a new captain, after he lead the crew on a fight against the old captain.
Summary: Sid meier's pirates is a great game for all ages. It works on the xbox 360. There is a massive variety of things to do like sneak into ports, duel with pirates, fight pirate ships, attack a city, dance and lots more. You can play this game again and again without being bored. I would really recommend it.
Summary: This game is great! There's a vast ocean to sail, plunder to be pilfered from the Spanish Armada and various ships to steal. Plus, you get to face-off with some of the most notorious pirates of the age (Bart Roberts and Blackbeard to name a few) Graphics are excellent, the gameplay is addictive and there's definite replayability.

Summary: First off I have to admit this was not quite what I had expected it to be, never having played the original. But I picked it up as it looked kind of fun and it proved to be great - I've barely put it down since! The merits in this game, as some of the other reviewers have mentioned, are its simplicity and its variety.
Summary: This is essentially the same game that I first played on the Commodore 64 nearly 20 years ago. Graphically it's vastly superior, of course, but in game terms it's all but identical. A bell here, a whistle there, but largely unchanged. Thank God for that! Don't try to fix what ain't broke.
