Conclusion: This is a worthy successor to the Pirates Franchise, fun battles, buried treasure, beautiful women and lost cities. there were only two things I didn’t like, when the wind was against me and the surprising lack of parrots.
Conclusion: Sid Meier's pirates, live the life. Yes you do. Such freedom in an aventure game gives a brilliant atmosphere and keeps you drawn in. You find yourself staring at you're tv screen at three in the morning telling yourself "I'll capture just one more city" or "Just sink a few more ships".
Excerpt: "This is a fun game to play with lots of swash buckling action and the chance to use every pirate stereotype phrase that you can think of. In the game you play a pirate who carries out a campaign of revenge against the Spanish who wronged you and the objective of the game is to amass as much wealth as possible while you character ages until you get to retire into the pirate hall of fame. The game can be played as an open ended strategy game with you ...
Summary: Game is overall rather fun but there are some parts that are difficult to understand and there may be a problem in the future that some XBoxes AKA the 360 won't be able to support this game for much longer
Summary: Sid Meier's Pirates, very cool it allows you to properly experience the life of a pirate in 1600's carribean. The gameplay is fantastic you can handpick your targets from french raiders to spanish treasure ships. the ship to ship combat allows the player to choose the type of shot you want to fire and then board your opponent then duel the captian for control of the ship and plunder its gold and cargo, or if you fancy it you can just sink the ship and leave the crew for...

Summary: I thought this was an awsome game, the way that you can play it any way you like, and there are just so many things that you can do, maybe be a good guy and protect transport ships and use gathered information to get the best deal for goods in order to make cash, or go for the more Piraty (yar!) approach and raid said transport ships, among many other types of ship, steal thier cargo and sell it on for cash, or even raid whole ports!
Excerpt: "At the start of the game you are introduced to your family your character and your enemy baron Raymond when they get taken away because they are in debt but your Character tries to escape and succeeds now on with the review. The game it self is really fun and addictive in fact while I'm writing this I'm playing it as well you start of as a lonely pirate sailing around and visiting loads of different cities in your ship recruiting more pirates and ...
Summary: I like to think that i am a big fan of Pirates. The fims i am not such a fan of, but the whole idea in general. When i saw this game i thought that i had to have it. It took a while to get it, as i am rather cheap, and its not the easiest to get hold of cheap. However when i finally did get it, i was not dissapointed. Its an easy enough game to play and understand. You play as a young pirate, whos family has being kidnapped and you have to get them back.
Summary: I was a huge fan of this game when it first came out on the Amiga and even resorted to buying a second hand 1200 last year just so i could play this game again (among others!). Anyway i am very impressed with this new version, it has all the gameplay of the original and hasn't been changed so much as updated. The only slighty annoying this is that the xbox struggles sometimes with the graphics and slows down the game. On the whole however i do highly recommend Pirates!
