A "Pirates" Adventure

CHABobcats , GameStop
24 September 2008
  • Summary: In this game you take part of a man who has lost his family over the course of 10 yrs. Sid Meier's Pirates is a great, challenging game with a great storyline. The game lets you choose your destination and you make the decisions.

Sid Meier's Pirates

  • Conclusion: This is a worthy successor to the Pirates Franchise, fun battles, buried treasure, beautiful women and lost cities. there were only two things I didn’t like, when the wind was against me and the surprising lack of parrots.

  • Conclusion: Great fun but its one of those game were you keep saying to yourself why did they do that? or why didn't they do this?.This game has all the right elements good graphics and gameplay(sea battles are great fun) but falls short of what it could have been.

  • Excerpt: This is a fun game to play with lots of swash buckling action and the chance to use every pirate stereotype phrase that you can think of. In the game you play a pirate who carries out a campaign of revenge against the Spanish who wronged you and the objective of the game is to amass as much wealth...
  • Pros: Great fun game
  • Cons: Nothing significant

  • Excerpt: I like to think that i am a big fan of Pirates. The fims i am not such a fan of, but the whole idea in general. When i saw this game i thought that i had to have it. It took a while to get it, as i am rather cheap, and its not the easiest to get hold of cheap.

  • Summary: I was a huge fan of this game when it first came out on the Amiga and even resorted to buying a second hand 1200 last year just so i could play this game again (among others!). Anyway i am very impressed with this new version, it has all the gameplay of the original and hasn't been changed so much...

All Round Fun

AndyBSG, Amazon
1 November 2005
  • Summary: Ultimately, Pirates is a simple game in an age where games are becoming more and more complicated with much more involved storylines, not that it's a bad thing. What makes this such a good game is the sheer variety involved.
