Summary: In this game you take part of a man who has lost his family over the course of 10 yrs. Sid Meier's Pirates is a great, challenging game with a great storyline. The game lets you choose your destination and you make the decisions.
Conclusion: This is a worthy successor to the Pirates Franchise, fun battles, buried treasure, beautiful women and lost cities. there were only two things I didn’t like, when the wind was against me and the surprising lack of parrots.
Conclusion: Just one word to define this game... AWESOME! Do you remember "Monkey Island" from Lucas Arts? I Do. And this game is so funy, so interesting. I began playing it yesterday. I was around 11 P.M. I think. Then, I remeber to see what time was it, and it was 3 AM! This is PIRATES!
Excerpt: The Pirates! franchise has been around since 1987, when it was first released on PC. However, I have not played any of them, including the remakes, until this version for the PSP and I am glad to say that I have finally done so. Pirates!
Excerpt: I came in to this game never playing a Sid Meiers title in my life..infact the reason i picked this up is becuase my frined sold his psp so he gave me this game, but thats not the point, this game is awsome! I LOVE IT! i love being able to pretty much do any thing!
Excerpt: I was a fan of the game on the pc. and from what I have played on the psp version, I do like it as well. Only issue I am having is that for some unknown reason i cannot do land battles. the x key is not functioning properly while i am try to raid and sack a town.
Conclusion: Great fun but its one of those game were you keep saying to yourself why did they do that? or why didn't they do this?.This game has all the right elements good graphics and gameplay(sea battles are great fun) but falls short of what it could have been.
Conclusion: Sid Meier's pirates, live the life. Yes you do. Such freedom in an aventure game gives a brilliant atmosphere and keeps you drawn in. You find yourself staring at you're tv screen at three in the morning telling yourself "I'll capture just one more city" or "Just sink a few more ships".
Excerpt: This is a fun game to play with lots of swash buckling action and the chance to use every pirate stereotype phrase that you can think of. In the game you play a pirate who carries out a campaign of revenge against the Spanish who wronged you and the objective of the game is to amass as much wealth...
Excerpt: At the start of the game you are introduced to your family your character and your enemy baron Raymond when they get taken away because they are in debt but your Character tries to escape and succeeds now on with the review.
