Excerpt: ***DISCLAIMER*** I have moved over this review from my GameFAQs account where I go by the name ThePreacher. You may have also seen 1 or 2 of my reviews on imdb.com but I just thought I'd give a heads up! Enjoy the review! Man, what a terrible game. I only saw stills of these in a magazine and mistook it for a game that actually looked good. It's games like these that makes me ashamed that I own an X-box.
Pros: Good graphics
Cons: No elements that made the film good, feels like a cash - in
Excerpt: Following On From The Sequak of The File Shrek 8. Shrek is on a journey to meet his in-laws, so Shrek 2 follows his adventure to Far Away Land and the chaos that ensues once Fiona's parents learn that their precious daughter is an ogre -- and is married to the crudest of them all. Shrek 2 features a mixture of puzzle solving and enemy bashing. Players are able to control one of four characters at any given time -- swapping between them at will.
Summary: Not great to be honest, It came accross as a poor attempt to market a game from a good film. It had very little "storyline" so to speak, and things like the way you opperate the camera angle annoyed me because you could spend ages trying to get it in the right place. Not really impressed, the graphics were ok, but I am glad we hired it because had I bought it, I would have sold it on. It is very easy to get bored of.
Excerpt: I purchased an X-Box for the family at christmas and in my haste to acquire games for the machine, Shrek snuck in at the last minute through recommendation. Now, I have seen the film a couple of times and was amazed at the animation format and colourful scenes within. So, I was hoping that this game would live up to the film and bring me hours of joy! I have not been dissapointed.
Summary: When I bought the Xbox on 14th March I got Halo, Amped, PGR and JSRF, all fantastic games. I've been looking for a new game and this is it. The best platfrom game I have ever played. I originaaly bought it for my sister. She enjoyed it nd told me to have a go. I was blown away. I never enjoyed platform games but Shrek changed my view. Cool gameplay, Great graphics and Awesome sound. And who do I have to thank for it. BILL GATES!
