Shadow the Hedgehog

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Shadow the Hedgehog has been on the to-do review list for a few years now. I want to apologize to our thousands upon thousands of readers for taking so long to get to it. Your lengthy patience has been appreciated by me and the rest of the Family Friendly Gaming. Shadow the Hedgehog is a very deceptive video game that has tricked too many families. My hope is that after this review is published, millions can avoid being fooled into a purchase.

L.A. Rush Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Although not the most potent Xbox racer on the market, L.A. Rush lets gamers go fully custom in LA; something that many car nuts have looked forward to for a long time. Technically L.A. Rush is fine, but it lacks the kind of character that is needed to separate a tuner-style title from the rest of the pack.

Shadow the Hedgehog Review

  • Excerpt: I remember the good old days: Seeing Sonic run through Green Hill Zone for the first time on a friend's Megadrive, humming along to the cool soundtrack in Sonic CD, and playing Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast and wondering how a launch title for a new piece of hardware could look any better. New console jubilation aside, Sonic was great, and back when it meant something to have a mascot he did a great job for Sega.

  • Summary: Shadow the Hedgehog was a hugely disappointing game, it's taken everything that was fun about the Sonic games, trampled on it and thrown it out of the window. The game isn't particularly fun to play, it's repetitive, uninspiring and unpolished with horrible camera angles and bad controls. The attempt to make the series darker, edgier, and more mature falls flat on its face and simply sticking a gun in the hand of a hedgehog won't do that.

Shadow the Hedgehog

Game Over Online
28 December 2005
  • Excerpt: Shadow the Hedgehog has always sounded interesting to me. It showed that Sega didn't necessarily take itself too seriously and was willing to have a bit of fun with their flagship license. I mean, c'mon. Giving a superfast hedgehog a gun seems kind of goofy, right? I figured that we'd get a fairly enjoyable game in the Sonic-style with a kicking sense of humor. It turns out that I was wrong of nearly every count.

Game Over Online

  • Excerpt: The first thing you should know is that everything in Shadow the Hedgehog is played straight. Shadow's car-driving, gun-toting, good-or-evil antics are all for real and are all serious business. The general gist of the game is that Shadow's past is coming back to haunt him and he's also at a turning point for his future. He can either go good, evil, or stay neutral and do his own thing. Shadow the Hedgehog has always sounded interesting to me.

Test: Shadow The Hedgehog

xboxfront.de
17 December 2006

Shadow the Hedgehog (ORD)

Shadow The Hedgehog

Sega-Universe
1 March 2006
  • Cons:  Bockige Kamera
