Summary: I initially bought this game because it was very cheap and I had no rally game for my Xbox. On Playstation2 and PC I've played all the big rally names and never quite been satisfied by the level of realism. I would always become very annoyed when playing with a friend and watching them putting the pedal to the floor with no consideration for survival since survival wasn't an issue. BUT rally is all about survival and how close to the limit a driver can go!
Summary: For years and years since GT1 there has been a small group of apreciative gamers who understand the true genius of a driving game. This group will analyse every last detail of how a car handles, feels, and looks. The only games that has ever reached a standard of greatness, and realism are Gran Turismo and Rallisport Challenge (on the ice courses). Being part of this group we understand about true realism and what its 'really about'.
Summary: Started on the tutorial and training which Burnsie talks you through to get into the controls and feel of the game, once the basic steps have been covered you can go onto advanced training for further technical driving tips, a real challenge - pass with all perfects and you get a bonus car -- havent done it yet! Onto the main game, Rally season, has all the usual setup and screens you'd expect from this type of genre.
Summary: Richard Burns Rally, although long overdue has to be one of the most realistic games ever! Realism is however another word for BLOODY DIFFICULT! Game play begins with a visit to the Forest Experience rally school, a necessary trip; if like me you're making the transition from RallyeSport Challenge 2 then you'll need it.... The games are worlds apart!
