Summary: I remember playing this on my old AMD Duron PC when it first came out in 2001. Now, I'm reliving the magic of playing it all over again on my XBox 360 from the comfort of my sofa. I just wish I could remember where all the secrets are hidden.
Summary: In German OK? Ich finde die Wolfenstein Reihe einfach super und spiele diese Games gerne, jedoch ist die Steuerung auf der xBox360 einfach nur schlecht. Am besten lassen sich die Egoshooter am PC spielen. Greets from Berlin, Germany!
Excerpt: "...world of Wolfenstein, more specifically Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War. A BLAST FROM THE PAST (PART 1) To bring you up to date: In the ninth century a pagan Saxon prince sought to forge an independent Germanic state, separate from his Frankish overlords. Do meet this end he raised a dark army using ungodly powers and defeated all who stood against him. Finally a mysterious monk withstood the evil onslaught and managed to entrap the ...
Summary: As a stand alone FPS this game is not bad at all, not bad graphics, very good gameplay and enough weapons to keep most people happy. However, what makes this game is the Xbox live addition. A whole new game is opened where you get to be 4 different classes of person all with attributes for excellent teamplay. Engineer for blowing things up, Medics for health and resurrecting fallen comrades, Soldiers for killing and Lieutenants for calling airstrikes and providing ammo.
Summary: I have played almost all WW2 SHOOT EM UPS over the years on systems as far back as the Amiga and the Atari to the PC and consols of today. However I have never come accross a game which has such a wide range of weapons, missions, co-op play and especially the online multiplayer. If you want a game that is fast, has A+ graphics, has ripped off all the good points from the M.O.H series, and still has more to offer then return to castle Wolfenstein.
Summary: Talk about atmospheric. The music actaully gives the game away when you are about to approach the enemy, but when that enemy happns to be armour clad zombies, well, what can one say, hence the title to this review. The game is fantastic although the graphics could do with a bit of polishing up. Having said that, the array of weapons is phenominal and you need the full set. The music keeps you on your toes, and some degree of nerve and patience is required.
Summary: Return to Castle Wolfenstein is one of the best Xbox games out and almost certainly the second best FPS (Halo 1st). The gameplay is amazing and the graphics are also very very good. The range of weapons is amazing, you start off with a knife and get better and better guns as the levels get harder. Towards the end you get flamethrowers, venoms (big ass machine guns)and even one that shoots electric bolts. The levels range a lot as well.
Summary: I bought this and the Live kit at the same time, but for a couple of days I had it without Live. I was quite disappointed with the 1 player game, but by no means was it terrible. I trundled through the first chapter or so, and then....Live was working :) Slightly tainted by my experiences with the one player game, I was still excited as hell. And once you've played this on Live, you may never sleep again.
Summary: At a glance you would think a Medal Of Honour rip off, but you couldn't be more wrong! RTCW is an amazing game and a true tribute to the X-Box Console!! Play indpepndatly through a brilliant story line trying to find out about the Nazi's obsession with the accult and bio-genetic super soldiers. From start to finish the game is a mix of smooth movement, amazing weapons and dam fine graphics! Played with surround sound it will have you jumping out of your skin!!
