Only for shooter-maniacs

Roman W. Kury, Amazon
23 November 2013
  • Summary: Purchase only if you collect each type of shooter and can not get enough of them. Quite hard difficulty and sometimes frustrating.

Castle Wolfenstein, The tides of War

Kevin J. Williams, amazon.co.uk
16 May 2009
  • Summary: I had this game on PS2 and it ended up being one of my all time favourites, when i bought my X Box 360 elite a few years later i hunted this game out in particular, the game itself is meant for the early xbox version 1 and although it is basically the same storyline the game play is a little different, i find myself at times going hunting for secret areas which featured on the PS version which are just not there on the XBox game, annoying or what?.....

Gets better the further you go

Tayles, amazon.co.uk
1 September 2004
  • Summary: When I started playing this game, it felt like a thousand other generic first-person shooters and a cut beneath most. It lacked atmosphere, intrigue or a worthwhile plot. For much of the first half of the game, you are merely running around what is no more than a linear maze of castles and dungeons, gunning down Germans or the undead, and searching out the odd "secret area". I'm sorry, but this format went stale around the time of Quake 2.

Mr. J. A. Butler "rodders20", Amazon
15 October 2003
  • Summary: apparentley this game is amazing live. however for us poor souls who don't have broadband this game is average. Graphics - average gameplay - good but repetative i.e shooting people Lifespan - good as long as you don't get stuck like I have Sound - good Multplayer - you can't save. what more can I say? You're MUCH better off getting Halo or/and Freedom Fighters.

RTCW - better on PC

Ian Thorpe, Amazon
10 June 2003
  • Summary: This game is okay. But don't think it compares to the PC. The single-player game is good. A couple of extra levels that were not on the PC version after that is is pretty identical (a couple of extra bad guys surprised me though - wait and see). The gameplay is pretty good also. For an Xbox game the single player is very polished and worth getting.
