Summary: I like first-person shooter games. I own a lot of them too. (Halo, Counter-strike, Doom etc..) When I got Rainbow Six 3, I was fully aware that it was more of an undercover type game than a shoot em up /crazy type game. I started the game on the "veteran" difficulty since it'll only make you better, and found out immediatly that you really gotta be sharp to play. Terrorists, or "tangos" are in every dark corner waiting to strike.
Summary: As Ubi Soft continues to rake in the cash with the Tom Clancy name inspired games, the quality of them seems to just get better and better. The follow up to last year's shooter of the year, Black Arrow makes several new innovations in the series while combining them with more of the same Rainbow Six action. The game is obviously geared towards Xbox Live gamers, but it offers some some good helpings of single player action as well.
Summary: Described as the sequel to the original Rainbow Six 3, Black Arrow is one of the finest xbox games ever made. Released in August 2004 this game see's Ding Chavez and his team fight their way through 10 new maps. As team leader you are able to command your team to open doors, frag the enemy and search for terrorists ("Threat neutralised")..
Excerpt: A series of attempts to kidnap telemetry and rocket scientists pulls Team Rainbow into a spiderweb of international intrigue. An international cabal of renegade military officers is trying to create conflict in the oil-rich regions around the Black Sea, giving them an excuse to swoop in and seize control. Team Rainbow must stop the terrorists from developing weapons of mass destruction, and prevent them from starting a devastating war.
Summary: For those that have played any Rainbow series, this is basically an add-on game with new missions in new settings, with the added advantage of having 2-player mode for hunting terrorists, which is a very welcome plus in you don't want to go online. The maps are very challenging, and the enemy AI has improved extremely, the bad guys now throw a lot of firebombs or RPG's and there are snipers in some of the scenarios. They even take hostages!
