Arcade style racing with emphasis on Fun

AverageJoseph, Dooyoo
21 April 2012
  • Excerpt: Created by the designer of the fairly well known racing series 'Wipeout', comes another version with a new coat of paint. Only found on Xbox, Quantum Redshift doesn't really differ from the genre that worked well enough to sell games and keep people happy. Unlike WO though, QR sees the ideology of the race shift into a more offensive, slower tournament. It makes use of all the buttons and controls when racing, without being complicated.

very fast game that lasts a long time

sifair, Dooyoo
27 April 2007
  • Excerpt: I first played this game when I recieved it with my xbox a few years ago and although I don't play the game anymore I found it quite interesting. The game is actually about 16 different charachters and all there backgrounds concerning the racing championship. Each racer has a nemesis and there own home track. There are 8 different tracks but you race them in reverse for the nemesis racer so t actually gives you 16 tracks.

Flawed gem

"bwalton29", Amazon
10 October 2002
  • Summary: QR is a flawed gem. It's great fun, but frustrating in equal measure. The graphics are fantastic (the only criticism is a bit of clipping when your car/ship goes in the water. The replay also looks a bit naff). On the plus side, the rain effects are lovely and the sense of speed is also well realised. Additionally the picturesque scenery on some of the stages looks great.

The replay is also a bit naff). On the plus side, the rain effects are lovely, the sense of speed is well realised and the scenery on some of the stages gorgeous. It's also a good racer - especially on later levels when your speed starts to pick up (it's a bit slow and easy on the earlier levels).
