Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy

swapgame
15 April 2006
  • Conclusion: i was expecting a pretty fun game and was looking forward to using all of the psi powers to throw enemies against walls and popping some heads but as i played further into the game it just got more boring and repetitive so i eventually gave up on it.

13 May 2005
  • Conclusion: it starts off well but soon gets boring all you do is kill people and try finding a new room ,u do this on most games which works but this just gets boring although there is co op they shouldn't of bothered because one person does all the movement of the character and the other controls shooting and psi powers

Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy Reader Review - 8.7

covenantfighter, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: A psychic-powered action shooter??? :s It'll never work... those were my first thoughts when I heard about this game. I seriously doubted Midway's ability to make decent games that didn't include characters called Scorpion, Sub-zero or Raiden and with a huge dose of blood and a voice saying "FINISH HIM" quickly followed with "OUTSTANDING"... but it wasn't until i played the demo of this game that i realised that Midway had actually done it.

Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy Reader Review - 8.7

Wingtip Vortex, IGN Entertainment
29 June 2004
  • Conclusion: To start off I didn't even give a toilet when this game came out, I thought o man Midway+ a geeky concept= crap. But I was very wrong this game has an interesting story as well as great gameplay and high replayability. You are Nick Scryer a former Mindgate operative, who is one of the first people to be able to use all six Psi powers. They give you a memory wipe and you are sent into the war ment to be captured.

Not compatible

Mr. Martin J. Wisbey, amazon.co.uk
25 December 2010
  • Summary: Unable to review the gameplay. This was bought to play on the 360 as it is shown on the listings as compatible with the 360. Unfortunately it does not appear to be so, and will not work on our machine. Anyone know better, please reply.

A stratigical and fresh idea

"padda_man100", amazon.co.uk
30 March 2005
  • Summary: Psi-opps is a great game, which really brings something new to the genre. The mind powers are really fun and it opens up a whole new dimension of the game. What I think was the best part to this game was all the different ways you good complete tasks, like the Hitman series. For instance, go around sneakily and knock everyone out, using silenced pistols to take out cameras, or go in guns galore or use your psycic powers and not lift a finger.

An interesting twist to spy games.

Raul Leite, amazon.co.uk
25 February 2005
  • Summary: Mindgate takes a twist by introducing parapsychological powers for us to play with: telekinesis, pyrokinesis, mind control, remote viewing and aura view. These powers add a new level of gameplay, giving the player different ways which he/she can solve the puzzles and progress the mission. Of course, one can still blast our way through the levels, but the whole experience diminishes using this single-minded (heh, heh...) solution.

Nearly Perfect!

Jose Alves Goncalves "miiiguel", amazon.co.uk
1 February 2005
  • Summary: I usualy don't go "over the top" with many games, although this one's a perl. It brings a bunch of new ideas that are mad mad fun (for instance Mind Control!). The graphics are great, they have perfect round shapes, the fog, the fire... briliant! The dificulty level "can" at one time become frustrating (Marlene boss is not that well made because she has a strike that's un-avoidable: not cool!
