Summary: Very good game, worth the short amount of time you have to put into it to beat it. Although I have said multiple times that it is short it doesn’t take away from the game it self, I was just disappointed that it ended so quickly because I really enjoyed it. Project Snowblind is a true FPS classic that is sure to be loved by all gamers alike, even if you're not too big a fan of FPS, play Snowblind for it's great action and great story.
Pros: Great graphics, innovative weapons and accessories and just alot of fun to play!
Cons: The main thing that I didn’t like about Snowblind is that it was way too short.
Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Snowblind is a fairly solid and entertaining FPS. Much of what it offers (augmentations, stealth and hacking) turns out to be a tad superfluous to the predominantly bullet-riddled gameplay, and can be easily overlooked by players. On PS2, it's certainly one of the better games of its kind (not particularly difficult considering the competition), though TimeSplitters 3 is the better game.
Excerpt: When the Deus Ex series disappeared, many of its play dynamics made their way into a new beast altogether: Project Snowblind. Does this new development line manage to fix the problems that bogged Invisible War without loosing the flavor of the cult franchise? Is there any reminisce of the Deus Ex that we know and love lurking down inside? Chris takes us down into the world of Project Snowblind for a look at all the things that bio-mods and technology can do to a war.
Excerpt: Snowblind takes place in a politically unstable Hong Kong in 2065. A radical terrorist group calling itself The Republic has seized control of the country. Not only have they started trying to destroy any opposition to their rule, they’ve threatened to detonate a massive EMP bomb. While it might not seem like a dangerous weapon, launching it into a rival country would send it back to the Stone Age.
Conclusion: Whatever you initially think of Snowblind, you’ll soon find yourself having so much fun blasting or stealthing your way through the cleverly designed levels that you forgive it its minor faults, and I certainly enjoyed the game more than the visually superior Doom 3 – in fact I even found myself going back through a level and completing it in a totally different way just for the fun of it…
Pros: LOADS of weapons and toys to play with., Action-packed throughout., Plays well online or system linked.
Cons: Maybe, many gadgets to play with., Toy-like character models., The vehicles are rather underused.
