Summary: I'm not a serious gamer, I don't really have the TIME to be a serious gamer, not enough time to master every single control technique. I like to be able to pick up the controller and have a decent game of football. PES 5 is a really fun game, but I get the feeling it could have been so much better. Its great fun to play, looks great and flows along at a good pace. Its also great fun with two players but its a different story against the AI.
Summary: The most frustrating thing about this game is realising what it could have been. At its best it is fast, tatical, intelligent football. However, this isn't often realised because of some frustrating technical design faults. Some of these include: - Passing. Dreadful AI. Even being a top class team like Brasil doesn't seem to affect your players passing.
Summary: Now, I am a fussy man. I do not lie for kicks, I do not speak for anyone else. So believe me when I say this is the best game in the world. Ever. The football gaming days started for me in 2000, with Fifa 2000. That was amazing beyond words. But I am older and wiser, so I can now speak, but when it's about this beautiful piece of art I am still lost. The sheer scale and accessability of the game may make your jaw drop; it did for me.
Brilliant game for two players but the A.I is dumb!

Summary: Look, the very best football game I have ever played. brilliant sport sim. When you have a group of friends around palying what a hoot. BUT, play the computer and it's boring. Even on 5 stars and not touching the controls the a.I runbs around like a headless chicken and hardly ever scores.....I switch it off after a few games every time. I want to see Wayne Rooney power through my CD and fire in a 25 yard shot.
Summary: I have to say i have been a great fan of this series since iss pro come out on the ps1 BUT they seem to be getting worse.I have had this game for some time now and it is just boring.I cannot understand how konami can start with something so good and manage to make it worse with each new addition .The gameplay is boring the goals you score are boring (all seem to be the same) the amount of freekicks you give away is ridiculous and there is no point getting a freekick...
Summary: I have to say that this game is pure genius. It differs from FIFA in that it concentrates on the most important aspect of a game- teh gameplay and while it doesn't have a glossy soundtrack it is better than FIFA will ever be, although I have played Fifa WC on XBOX 360 which is also immense but if this were on XBOX 360 then it would actually be football heaven!
Summary: Pro Evolution Soccer 5 is the best football game I have played and I'm sure most people would agree that it is. When you think about, yeh fair enough FIFA was good at a point but it hasn,t improved in any way. I don't understand how people can waste their money on FIFA. Any PS2 or Xbox price is worth it 4 Pro Evo.
Summary: There's no doubt about it, this is a great football game, but it would be so much better if you could actually score goals. As someone else has pointed out, you spend most of the time chasing the other team around like a headless chicken. It's very realistic, and I suppose this is what makes it so frustrating, you really have to put good moves together just to get a crack at goal, let alone score one. The best I've managed is a goalless draw with Latvia.
Summary: I converted to Pro Evo after years of Fifa gaming not long ago, and I cant say I'm dissapointed at all. Its only when you first play them game, you realise the 2 main aims of each game - Fifa goes for looks, commercialism, fancy packaging and adverts while Pro Evo emulates real, beautiful football, that YOU control. All round, Pro Evo 5 is just crammed full of fab features and more.
