KING KONG XBOX GAME

Christine, amazon.co.uk
4 January 2012
  • Summary: This was a purchase for my 10yr old son who loved the movie and wanted the game. He has played it relentlessly since and has not completed it yet. He loves it and thinks the graphics are good for an older game. It came on time and in the good condition as prescribed so very pleased.

It's got the Kong bit right but it's hardly a king......

  • Summary: Now, I expect that after sitting through Peter Jackson's film of the same name you'd get the feeling you'd want to be Kong. Well after sitting through it myself in my then nearest local multiplex two years ago I was quite keen myself, especially after playing the demo where you take on the V-Rex's. However this, to me, is a game that's more style over substance.

Superb

  • Summary: Simply the best game I have played on the Xbox. Ok, so it is quite short, but the gameplay is fantastic. There are puzzles and trickier bits when playing as Jack, but the real highlight of the game is the awesome power of Kong - never mind that these sections are pretty simple. Totally satisfying.

Pretty good

  • Summary: This game is very realistic (apart from the fact that there's a 30ft monkey in it). What i mean by realistic is that you really have to watch your ammo, you're not invincible and it has no HUD. This gives it a very cinematic effect, with quite detailed graphics and fairly good gameplay. You play as Jack most of the time but there are some levels where you get to play as Kong. These are the coolest levels in the game.

Great-but short (got it on Christamas, finished boxing day)

King kong, amazon.co.uk
3 January 2006
  • Summary: The gameplay was great and i loved many of the problem-solving levels in which you had to use fire bones levers insects guns and pretty much everything the map has to offer in order to kill dinosaurs get through thorn and protect your mates. Playing as king kong is draw-brakeingly fun with easy melee attacks in very difficult situations (like killing a t-rex with your your bare hands while natives fire flaming spears at you).Killing dinosaurs and giant bugs alike with...

King Kong All The Way!!

30 December 2005
  • Summary: This game is basically the best xbox game out today! The number of amazing features in this game is simply awesome and uncountable. I mean the graphics in this game... WHOA! They are totally shocking. The controls are simple and the best thing about the game is you play as both Jack and you can live the legend as Kong. The game is simple and short and the missions are somewhat varyed in a way.

A good game based on a movie!

25 December 2005
  • Summary: There are very few games based on films that are good. Goldeneye, Spiderman 2, and The Chronicles Of Riddick being examples. Kong joins these games because it isn't the usual fps or 3rd person affair. As 'Jack' in the first person mode, you can only have one gun, you do not find ammo littering the area, and when you find ammo it doesnt stock up, you have to change guns and ammo.

No more Monkey business

"pimpdaddylove", amazon.co.uk
19 December 2005
  • Summary: King kong is the best movie licensed game since the all time classic N64 Goldeneye, but for significantly different reasons. Where Kong excels is in the fantastically rendered atmosphere of Skull Island...This is a beautiful but dangerous place, populated with savage beasts and treacherous terrain. No other movie game (or many games at all for that matter) has achieved such an awe inspiring sense of actually 'being there'.

Not worth the money

amazon.co.uk
8 December 2005
  • Summary: Okay, I 'll keep it short: it's an enjoyable game whilst set on the Island, pretty exciting and some nice set pieces. Graphics are also pretty good although the voice work is mostly dreadful. The New York section at the end is short and not very good, plus the ending is already well known and cannot be changed, which rather ruins the point of the final battle on the Empire State Building. Biggest problem - the whole game can be completed in just over FOUR HOURS.

Best movie tie in up to date

amazon.co.uk
6 December 2005
  • Summary: I have just got this game and i was stunned to see just how amazing the graphics were, it shows that the xbox can still produce quality games. the gameplay is so swift and the new first person element is good with no hud options. To have the most out of this game leave it off. Playing as king kong is fantastic fun fighting the v-rex and snapping his jaw, if you like first person the this is a must buy.
