Summary: Obscure is a fun game, if you like those stupid horror movies where teens get killed, you'll like the storyline. Five stereotypical teens (Brain, Jock, Nerd, Tomboy, and the Punk) get locked in a creepy school with a variety of disgusting monsters crawiling all over the place. The teens dialouge is good. Wern't expecting that, were you? The music is also creepy, and the school itself is amazingly desinged. The graphics on the kids and the school look great too.
Excerpt: Me and my mate tried looking for a co-op survival horror game, after much searching on the internet we found this game on many peoples wishlists and quite highly rated. Once started we could understand why, my mate mentioned how Silent Hill like it was, having never played it I wasn't sure if that was good (having heard lots of good stuff about SH).

Excerpt: Gaining a new love for horror movies and finally digging out my playstation 2 i thought obscure would be the perfect game to start up my once dead playstation addiction. Hearing its two player was awesome. I got my best friend round and we'd play Obscure together alot. Its actually a really great game to play with a friend, especially a screamish friend.
Yeah i'd say have a look if you're into survival horror.

Excerpt: Obscure was a title i'd never heard of when a friend recommended it, and i'm glad he did. As a fan of Resident Evil and Silent Hill I was intrigued to see how this game panned out. So what makes this different from the above games? Well the fact that you can play as a Co-op in this Survival Horror game, which was pretty unique. The gameplay is decent and follows the format that most of these games do. The graphics aren't too shabby either.
This is a horror game with a 12 age rating... Enough said...

Summary: This cheesy game is simply based on this simple 'equation': Silent Hill gameplay+Immature ridiculous looking monsters=THIS GAME. The gameplay & controls feel like they were simply copied and pasted from Silent Hill to this game. The game offers little or no storyline whatsoever (blast,blast,blast...dead. Next character etc.
Summary: I've owned my Xbox since it came out and the survival horror genre is my favourite one! However while other consoles like the PS2 and GameCube can boast the great horror series like Resident Evil and Silent Hill the Xbox doesn't really have that much of a great line up. So when this game came out I bought it straight away especially after hearing it was based on the teen slasher genre!
Summary: this game is great, it expands on the usual survival horror method and makes it much smarter, i loved the use of the flashlights, this game is basically a buffy based survivlal horror, five teenage kids are stuck in a school after dark when it is crawling with monsters, though this game is quite short, 3-4 hours, because of the mixture of characters it has very high replay value, the story line is indulging and not too hard to follow, with good voice acting and a mix of...
Summary: Basically this is Resident Evil meets any one of a dozen teen slasher movies. Set in an American High School after dark, you take control of any pairing from a cast of 5 teenage heroes. Each character has different traits that come in useful during the game. There's the athlete, the streetsmart lock picker, the intelligent nerdy type, the fighter and the healer.
Summary: when i first bought this game i thought it would be a disappointment, just another horror game with no real horror. I was wrong, within a couple of minutes of playing obscure i had already had a good jump and a scream. You play in a team of Five students, who you meet up with gradually as the game progresses. You have many different attributes in the students that will help you to advance in the game.
Pros: fast paced, good graphics - characters
Cons: monsters look a little blocky, difficult to figure out controls
