Summary: One word for this game: Spectacular! I'm a big Hockey buff so of course i went to get this game. I was a little disappointed with NHL 2002 so I wasn't so excited to get this game at first. When i played it, I was stunned! The graphics are awesome, the music is excellent and the gameplay is off the hook! EA Sports really outdid themselves on this game. Take control of your favourite team in the Franchise Mode. Skate to the top and win the prized Stanley Cup!
Summary: i think this was a pretty good game because of the realism. i espicially liked the manual deeks and the automatic deeks as well. you have full control of the game settings. you can choose how fast the gameplay is and many others. i think this is the best hockey game out there today. i would also recomend you buying this awsome game.
unfortunately, this is the best hockey game of 2003

Summary: When i finally got an Xbox this year and decided the first game i needed was a hockey game, i looked to Amazon.com and EBGames.com for help with customer reviews. on both sites, it seemed like the overwhelming majority of hockey gamers liked Sega's NHL 2K3 better than EA's NHL 2003. so I decided that, despite the fact that I have played and enjoyed EA's hockey line for about 10 years now, I would go ahead and get Sega's game.
Summary: I am not an extreme hockey enthusiast by any stretch, but I have always been a fan of hockey-based video games. Sometimes, you just get a craving for some fast-paced slapshot, body check, hat trick action, right? So, even after reading several negative reviews, I decided to rent NHL 2003 and give it a try. The result: my hunger for an exciting hockey game was completely satisfied.
Summary: Playing this game was an exercise in frustration. The camera angles are all lousy and the AI is a joke. EA and their supporters keep talking about the realism in this game. But in a "real" game players don't let passes fly right through them, defensmen don't let opposing players camp out in front of the net without checking them somehow, team mates don't stand around just looking at a puck that is inches from their stick, and body checks actually knock players off the...
Summary: NHL 2003 provides many improvements from the year before. It has much improved graphics (where 2002 was lacking) and the different saves and deke moves that goalies and players make dazzles you and makes for beautiful plays. This game is easily the best NHL game on the market, as Sega's 2K3 cannot compare. It also provides many different difficulty levels to keep the user busy.
Summary: This game was a waste of my money. I have always been hearing how good EA's hockey games are so when I bought my xbox I bought NHL 2003 thinking it would be a good game. How wrong I was! The game ..... I found it very unrealistic and sloppy. They added all the extra stuff in but forgot about the gameplay. Luckily I got NHL 2k3 for christmas and I was sure glad. It was 5 times better. Sega knows what makes a good hockey game.
