Video Game talk
22 October 2006
  • Excerpt: It's about time someone at EA wasn't content with simply releasing a minor update to the NHL franchise so rather some be news event surrounding the addition of a deke added to the right analog stick it's actually something newsworthy this time. NHL 07 Review

GameSpot
15 September 2006
  • Summary: EA makes its PSP NHL debut in NHL 07, a serviceable game of hockey that has its good qualities but also feels unpolished.
  • Pros: Fast-paced, sometimes exciting hockey gameplay, lots of modes to play around with, including a solid dynasty mode and online play, good-looking player models
  • Cons: Controls can occasionally be unwieldy, a noticeable lack of in-game options and statistical info, blatantly recycled commentary, online play is rather laggy

All the emphasis in the game went to a control schematic that you might even find alienating. A decent hockey game, and a good step in the right direction for EA Sports. However, if you?re only going to buy one hockey game for the 2007 year, this shouldn?
