While overall interesting, for me, the car customization aspect of the game was the thing that I found most appealing. With all of the cool customizations that you can purchase in the game (neon lights, custom paint jobs, nitrous upgrades, etc., etc.), this game can be quite addictive; especially since it always seems like that next cool part is just another race away. Lack of replays, custom soundtracks or Xbox Live support really knock this game down from what it could have been and the scores reflect that, yet Underground is still easily the best NFS rendition on any console to date and a contender for the all-out best single player racing experience around.
