NBA Street Vol 2 Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: When I first played the original NBA Street, it quickly became one of the most enjoyable sports games I had ever played. Now that Vol. 2 has been released, I’m still in awe that the game could be so vastly improved, yet still be as fun as the original. The difference Vol. 2 makes compared to other basketball titles is in its street hoop roots, and doesn’t care that tidbits of NBA rules are being left out.

  • Excerpt: Unlike most basketball titles, this is not so much a sports simulation as it is an interactive fantasy with a chain-link net. Gameplay is all about razzle-dazzle and improbably executed moves that the Harlem Globetrotters would be hard pressed to match.

NBA Street Vol. 2

Game Over Online
1 May 2003
  • Excerpt: When NBA Street came out in 2001, it turned the game of basketball upside down in ways that no one had expected. Sure, action-sports titles had come out before (anyone remember NBA Jam?), and so had “urban” basketball games, but Street seemed to trump all of them by infusing the genre with eye-catching trick moves, solid sound (love him or hate him, you will acknowledge Joe The Show), and a dose of street attitude.

Game Over Online

  • Excerpt: Street 2 takes the circuit and goal based modes and revamps them completely, expanding their gameplay. To just jump into the game, there’s a pickup mode, which will let you choose any NBA team, Street All Star team or Old School Team (more on these later). However, you’re no longer restrained to playing the game to 21.

NBA Street Vol. 2

29 December 2003

Review: "NBA Street Vol. 2" (XBOX)

gamingxp.com
15 May 2003
  • Pros: Unglaubliche Spieldynamik, Gute KI, Unzählige Tricks, Tolle Technik, Viele freispielbare Gimmicks, Motivierender Karrieremodus
  • Cons: Keine eigenen Teams im Multiplayermodus, Pro Team nur maximal menschliche Spieler
