Summary: I am not a fan of basketball and probably never will be. But, I do love this game. I have tried other basketball games mainly last generation I tried the Street series(also made by EA) and the 2k series but the only game I have enjoyed thus far is NBA Live 2005. The gameplay is extremely solid and the graphics are a shining example of what the last generation could produce.
Summary: Here is my opinion: 1.) Player models do not look realistic..arms too long, heads too big, and backs are hunch over a little too much...maybe it's just me. 2.) Defenders are too quick...players move faster than their legs do. 3.) Slam dunk contest too difficult for the average gamer. 4.) Graphics seem outdated compared to the other basketball games available...I won't mention any names. 5.) The only thing I like is the voice commentary with Marv.
Conclusion: NBA Live 2005 is without a doubt the perfect addition to EA's NBA series. With online play, the best gameplay, improved season mode and create a superstar makes one great game. Gameplay: There are basically three modes to the gameplay aspect, season mode, exhibition mode and the all new all-star weekend. I will describe them below Season Mode: Pick a team from either conference and live a real NBA season.
Ridiculous at lower levels, great at All Star level!

Summary: I owned the game about a month, won the championship with the Lakers(!) at the Starter level. All you had to do was steal the ball from the opponent, throw it up court on a fast break and dunk. Won most games by 20 while playing 8 minute qtrs. Fun for the first couple games, extremely boring after that. Then I tried the All Star level....way different ball game!...and much more enjoyable. It is very realistic in my opinion.
Summary: THIS IS THE BEST BASKETBALL GAME OUT, IF YOU WANT A FASTPACED GAME THEN BUY THIS TITLE! THE FREESTYLE IS EVEN BETTER THIS YEAR AND EVERYTHING LOOKS BETTER THAN IT DID IN O4. iF I WERE YOU I WOULDNT PAY MORE THAN 25$ FOR THIS TITLE. tHE ONE THING I HATED WAS THE PLAYER RATUINGS, THEY GAVE LEBRON AND CARMELLO LOW RATINGS ALONG WITH SHAQ AND EVEN YAO MING, THEY BOLTH DESERVE 99 RATINGS THEY ARE UNSTOPABLE!
Summary: This is definetely by far the best NBA game to ever hit any game system up to date, made by EA Sports, NBA Live 2005 is definetely a hit sports game and always will be. I will now break down my review in terms of graphics, gameplay, audio, and online play. Graphics: The graphics in this game aren't actually all that great.
Conclusion: NBA 2005 is described by one word:brilliant. The improved gameplay with playmaker control is brilliant. The one thing that stands out for me is the new All-Star Weekend. Bringing back the 3-Point contest was a major upgrade, if it's not broke then don't fix it. The dunk contest though is far out and amazing addition. That on it's own could have been one seperate game.
Summary: This game is so much fun when you play with your friends, but when it comes to playing the computer, it becomes too unrealistic. Here's my point: if you play the computer on Starter or Rookie level, it will be way too easy for you. Averagely, I could win with 50 points margin against such opponents. You can do Alley-op continously during the game without worrying about dunk-outs.
