Summary: *** I bought this for the youngster but paid under a tenner when it was on offer on Amazon earlier this year and it is OK. It isn't the best but it isn't the worst - it's simple enough and worth buying. Well, certainly worth the tenner but I can't say whether I would have paid much more for it.
Excerpt: This game was a cheap edition to my collection, it was an impulse buy and i only decided to buy it as i had no other sports titles too play on. I knew that i would be out of date and the players in the game would all be on the wrong teams and the like. This did not annoy me in the slightest as i did not buy the game for this. How ever i would not suggest purchase of this or any other pld sports title if this fact is going to wind you up while playing.
Pros: Awsome Moes to be pulled off, Fantastic Dunks to be done !
NBA Live 2002..."Shall I get my wallet out?" Question answer
25 March 2002
Summary: Well, after purchasing my X box and playing Halo and Rallisport to death, I decided to put my hand in my pocket and purchase a new game. Being a Basketball fan I felt NBA Live 2002 would be the next game on my agenda. As I placed the disk in my drive, I was greated with a pumping intro and my excitement rose. After 2 hours of playing and turning off the X Box I was left with a 50/50 feeling about the game for the reasons below.
Summary: They have taken what was once the one of the best sports games and drain the fun out of it, like an old dish rag. The camera views are horrible!!! It forces you to make blind passes and near the end of the game when the other teams' superstar hits a decent shot, the camera doesn't even follow the play for the rest of the game. The dunks are pretty good which saves the game and the play doesn't seem helter skelter. Controlling the boards is not at all an easy task.
